Aye I think you might of said hello to me earlier I was the chap with the Audi A5 - took it for a tune - from 220 BHP to 300 bhp- torque upto 325 - not bad for a 2 litre aye. He told me about that as well 92 ron- China is famous for this - they send a good example fpr testing - leave a good one at the top of the pile and then cheapskate the rest- hence why the metal in all the new bridges is now rusting its tits off- exactly why British steel plants should be kept alive and alongside refinery plants which are all pretty much shut down- also chips need to be started to be made here- California and the UK basically subcontracted out the tech to Taiwan for economical reasons - so many bad decisions the last 20 years made by the UK- makes you want to vomit - it makes us rely on unreliable and corrupt sources who we basically are arming with wealth.

Its a shame as some of the best alloys are in 17 = especially some of the oz and momo splits.

Thanks mate its really nice have a modern daily - been scaffolding since 16 and not getting any younger so the comfort is really good . So here she is off to her new owner- I 80s and 90s forced induction car collector- delivered straight to his storage facility . Overall its a huge success story as the car has been restored and has gone to an owner that can afford to keep her maintained and sheltered. She will be sitting alongside Renault turbos and alike . Basically the sales of the car purchased my new audi and a little change in the back pocket - everyone is a winner. Video of her been collected. https://www.facebook.com/john.luke.589583/videos/839195740381250

Thanks Cressa - you may not mate as he reckons it’s an enclosed trailer .

Bit of an update. G60 has been sold and has headed up Sheffield way to a collector- getting collected in an enclosed trailer tomorrow he reckons . Logbook changes its officially sold. So Ive finally sorted out my car dilemmas- garage foundations are in with 2 car spots for the VR and mk2. Have purchased this daily- had two of these before absolutely brilliant 3.0 tdi engines in the past but went for the 2.0 tfsi generation 3 block this time- you now if its a gen 3 as it has the oil filler cap on the timing chain cover not the valve cover. Great value only 50 k on the clock and s line - amazing how well it rides on factory 20 s and low profiles with the factory s line suspension - I was expecting terrible harshness but it simply is not. Bloody looks great in red- fantastic fine nappa leather - they simply dont make cars like this now vag its all cheap materials. Over the moon !!!!!! Its the same engine as in a Mk7 golf gti. Spoke to Vince all ready and im very tempted my model is also quattro. STAGE 1 - just a tune look at them bloody gains for £280.00 nippers.

I love them, puts the VR on its toes- what the engineers wanted for the cars.

VSR on the left and shrick on the right - I sold a shrick last year and it fetched 1500 and sold behind closed doors - vsr can expect to pay over double then a schrick but rarely come up for sale . Schrick come up at least a few times a year - vsr probs looking at 1 every few years . Last shrick I saw sell was a breaker found one on a sharan vr6 . As mentioned above fb is your best bet - most important thing is to make sure the butterfly flap screws are secure or they could drop off and chew your engine .

Good question to me they are worth keeping spare - for example glass a windscreen now sells in the USA for 1000 dollars as obsolete - although there is one guy bringing them in a bit cheaper now from Europe. They get damaged through removal - seals perish - break inns - debris damage. What is the obsolete side worth to someone who needs one- depends how cruel you decide to be lol- certainly an essential spare now - folks dont realise yet about these rear windows- shaun managed to get one new one for his rado but the other one is a no go. This is how much they are new for the one side. https://www.mecatechnic.com/en-GB/custode-arriere-gauche-teintee-vert-pour-vw-corrado_C184594.htm They are on ebay for 150 used- if you was local i would lend you my petrol disc cutter - same type you see pavers use but with a metal blade- i also chopped out the rear vw badge plate on the tailgate - plus the whole drain panel under the windscreen. Turrets as well are a good cut- also whole filler cap on rear panel area
-
I just used a scaffolder Stihl cutter and cut 2 inch outside of metal.- brutal I know but glass is there if someone wants to wire it out 😂
-
Its takes a long time to wire the rear glass out but the one side is very obsolete- worth disk cutting the glass out with the frame surround. The rubber perimeter seal is also very obsolete right now and should pull out. Pull handle on a pillar has x2 special speed nuts pull them out. Tailgate push rod plastic buffer plate is extremely obsolete and rare - need to squeeze with pliers under it to remove without damage. Also the tailgate loading trim is very rare.

The only thing that is always happy to see you and never asks for anything !

My mate snow foamed it first- Is a clay once a year ok or even less ? .
-
Oh yes mate be mad to not fit them- when you watch the cctv and see how quick they got in it makes you really think about security- it was the house directly opposite me - they have got there skoda suv back as it was only a couple of years old now and apparently even though he was not subscribed to a tracker all newish vags can be tracked - was found sitting a few miles down the road on a council estate - the audi a3 which is 5 years old has not been found - they had a pvc door on the side elevation with a standard euro lock so to them it was a sheer piece of cake to get into the house and grab the car keys. None of the cars were performance models just family cars. My garage is going to be belled up - alongside disk lok and cat 1 so will be pretty hard to take especially for chancer kids on the prowl - big dog helps to, any thief pops their head over my fence they will be greeted by my loyal companion the King of Terriers..
-
Thanks mate look forward to seeing the final product- will be amazing.
-
Thanks Hasan - you could feel the clay lift all the debris especially off the roof - was good of my mate to show me how to do it .
-
Well over due this was - clay bar and deep polish. Might as well mention this now- If anyone has standard euro lock on there patio doors or anywhere else I strongly advise you to change them for a Yale Platinum 3 star which is designed to snap off- I did my house earlier- reason I mention is because my neighbours x2 cars got stolen last night and they got in the house in under 30 seconds with mole grips. Picture below of what you all need to fit- 5 minute job.
-
Been driving the Vr6 for the last week or so- these cars are really getting some serious respect now- one guy earlier did a ok symbol with his hand earlier and said if you know you know, that is a proper motor- sainsburys delivery guy literally left spunk marks up the body work earlier and seemed a little lost for words .
-
Thanks got mine today best quality loom available and a good price.
-
Thanks paid in full . Cheers.

Thanks for the advice everyone - Ive got some oe seals coming tomorrow - i will use a bit of silicon on the seal- if it leaks after that it must be the radiator warped side so hopefully a bit of RTV will cure that if it leaks again . I will post the seal that came off and compare to the OE one.
-
Thanks mate it’s actually for the g60 which the devils use the same flange as a vr6 - radiator Is obsolete like that of a vr6 - rad is 5 years old and a Hella - could anyone recommend a good gasket seal if new genuine o ring fails - maybe I have the bolts too tight would love to know the torque settings - cheers im not sure why they even designed this top rad flange - Mk2 rads are so much stronger .
-
Hi keep getting the odd spurt of coolant leaking out of this flange can see it on bonnet - first fitted aftermarket- now got an original not sure if the seal is genuine so have ordered one - what torque should these bolts be please maybe I have them to tight ? I take it I’m putting the o ring in the correct place ? Thanks red circle shows where I’m putting o ring .
-
No because it’s over Tax threshold £130 so will not be cheaper - also bulk postage x2 will be rich.
-
£130 I believe mate- i stagger orders so they dont go out as the same shipment-
