  1. I think they are 1J0 407 181 but can anyone confirm this???
  2. The pre 90 mk2's have a smaller spline size but the boss should fit if you can remove the splined adapter off the corrado - you will need a good 3 legged puller for this.
  3. 2.0 8V - late cars, 4 cyl but with some of the 'plus' running gear. Most have no sunroof, so makes them a bit more rigid and gives more head room
  4. LOL - bit of a training issue there then - Health and safety would have a feild day! He didn't used to work for Lightcliff VW in Halifax did he?

    Boot Toolkit

You should have - Scissor jack + handle Wheel wrench with screwdriver 10/13mm Spanner Plastic spark plug lead tool (maybe clipped to bonnet stay)
  6. Yeah, the bypass valves can be removed but you won't have these as it's a VR I'd buy the matrix and rad from VW only - the matrix is a job you only want to do once!
  7. It's under the master cyl dude on the servo - plus with 2/3 wires going to it... A spring slip holds it on but you need a small mirror to see it
  8. It's obvously a seperate part to the radiator core itself (which is made in the UK) but not replacable - new rad time i'm afraid (the top elbow itself and seal are available seperatly if thats whats leaking but I assume you've cracked the lower bit?) The matrix's are all the same in terms of RHD and non aircon for all Corrado's (factory AC models use a different one and so do LHD) The Matrix you buy new now is a MK3 Golf / A3 / TT part that has the bypass vales built in so no need for them in the engine bay
  9. Hi Lisa, JOHN AUSTIN has definetly had experience of G60's, engine rebuilds etc and there is another place in Colchester called TCM Autoelectric I think who are meant to be very good with G60's John Austin - just off the A12 at Marks Tey (A120) Telephone: 01206 211483 (VW/Audi specialist) I'd give them a call if they are near as it probably just needs a timing and CO setup but otherwise I would just take a day off and head down to G-werks, get the charger cheked at the same time and the engine setup on the wideband.- - good time of year to spin down there!
  10. Weird, yours should be the late on... they don't look interchangeable then I take it??? ^Always wondered as the clutches on later cars always seem lighter...
  11. Hi mate - I don't think thats the right part number as all the VR's got the later (shorter) one... Unless yours is a really early VR is it?
  12. Ok - just checked with TPS and there are 9 in the country so available next day 358 721 388 £66.77 + vat (the number above is for a late 93-95 Corrado ie VR6) No idea what you were trying to buy Therapor!!!
  13. Dave - i'd try VW again, I doubt they'd make a part like a clutch master cylinder obselete, they fit loads of cars! GSF do sell them tho - part number 71681C £87+vat, free delivery ECP number is 136440100 £94+vat
  14. I love the way this thread has gone from Engine oil advice, to cooking meat and then to cheese is the space of three pages :D Corrado-Forum.Net 8)
  15. Dudes, key things to remember about Steakage - The cut - go to a butchers or farm shop, supermarket cr@p is either full of fat or salt for preservative (this makes the steak go tough when cooked) Cooking - temperature is critical, brush with oil and pepper but also get oil very hot in the pan before adding the meat, it needs to 'sizzle' Season with Maldon sea salt while it's resting - Nothing wrong with marinades but you can't beat a nice steak cooked in olive oil with a bit of sale and pepper!
  16. They should be able to sell you 1 metre tho off the roll - it's 3.5mm ID pipe but i'd buy the proper stuff... I'd also replace the 1m pipe between the TB and ECU as this is critical for engine management
  17. Yep - plug connects and earths ontop of the rear engine mount - directly underneath the brake fluid res Check the wiring out as this is a common failure point, especially if engine mounts are knackered!
  18. Yep, as above I'd get the car shipped down to G-werks if posible, chances are if it's not had a charger rebuild or waterpump yet then there will be a whole load of other bits that need urgent attention. Only use a genuine VW waterpump!

What size wheels and tyres do you have?
  21. eBay?? they are only about £33 from VW depending on discount...
  22. Sounds right, some more info in our Knowledge base... note this box uses G51 oil and not G50 like most other O2A types. http://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/0 ... des_etc%29
