  1. You tried VW for a price?? - may not apply to this but most MAF's for MK4's are £40 - £60 where GSF / Euro are charging twice the price...
  2. Have you tried contacting BBM directly - I've had stuff from them in 4 days and way cheaper than buying from UK suppliers!
  3. Yep, first complete race i've watched live for ages!!!
  4. Well, at least you've not paid them anything... just take your business elsewhere...
  5. Rear sensors come with loom attached, if you look at the price of the looms for the fronts you'll see they are more expensive...
  6. Nah, no locking nut on Koni's - therte is no force on the adjuster so it won't move by itself altho it's good practice to wind down to soft and dial the firmness back in every to often... Jim has a wierd missmatch of shocks on that car so they need changing really anyhow... I still reckon your steering column should be next tho mate as there is deffo lots of play there!!
  7. Yeah they sit higher so the original arms don't work as well... I spoke to someone who bought the VAG ones for a MK3 and they were worse than the originals so will be compleltly useless on a Corrado... may work ok on some cars tho i would imagine...
  8. Yep same size - the seal kit is the same between MK4 and Corrado.... The 'MK4 style' ally calipers on the MKV/VI Polo are smaller tho...
  9. Nah... I think it IS the opinion of the forum
  10. Yeah G60 has a plain key, imob was an option on Late 2.0 16Vs, if your not sure then take the cowling off and you will see the extra reader coil thingy with a flat ribbon cable going to it...
  11. No chip - just buy a standard AH from VW (£3) or you could go for the MK3 one with the light or the 16V one in it's own case (£15ish if still available) VAG always used to cut these for free but most don't have the kit anymore or know how to use it - local places and supermarkets will do it for a couple of quid...
  12. You need to look for 12V going down the red and black wire to the starter solenoid when the key is turned 12v = knackered starter solenoid 0v = Ignition switch, Alarm etc
  13. Ball joint x 2 plus, for each side, 3 bolts and a plate they go into plus the upper nut and bolt (or just a nut on a VR6) Top mounts - I assumed you were just doing the front pair as the rears don't wear as much altho I would still change these if doing the rear shocks etc... Depending on what year car you will just need 2 top mounts to do the fronts or (if it's the VR6/Mk3 style setup) then you need to order a rubber mount and a seperate bearing (per side) You could also buy new nuts and bolts for the front shocks (2 per side) Hope this helps!
  14. I don't but on the C it's on top of the box and it's the only electrical connection going to it apart from the reverse light switch (on the shifter tower) - best to have a look for a plug...
  15. Get the bits from VW mate or you'll be paying for it to be done again in 2 years time...
  16. Hmm hopefully just a sensor on the gearbox but a mate of mine had a 2001 206 new and it had about 4 instrument clusters in 6 months to fix the above fault...
  17. They come filled with oil (ready primed) VW spares sell them much cheaper than GSF but then you have the same problem with the royal mail...
  18. If the top hose it rock hard (you can't squeeze it) then could be head gasket... need to get the pressure read...
  19. :) I know but I quoted the rrp price as I keep getting complaints from people who can't get trade prices saying the price is wrong etc!
  20. Make sure the tappets are made by INA and you get 12 of them (GSF usually sell you 8 no matter what engine it is) Also, if they place the box on the counter with the 'This side up' arrow pointing down just walk out (mate did this last week)
  21. Pass side footwell Know where the bonnet release is? - same panel that is next to but the other side...
  22. Anyone know about the 928 wheel - size and weather it will fit?
