  1. LOL, yeah Compressor Canada then or BBM maybe for you?
  2. Welcome to the forum! G-werks is the place, best off getting the charger checked out tho if it's been running a 63mm for 15k's...
  3. If you are a tool junkie then it's well worth a trip to your local Halfords this weekend as the deal doesn't seem to be available on line £250 buys you........... 6 drawer "industrial" lockable, roller bearing draw slider tool chest with heavy duty castors. They are superb quality with a really nice latch system on the drawers which are all a sensible depth including the extra deep one at the bottom and will hold up to 35kg each. All the drawers have non slip liners and there is a fitted mat on the top 100 piece "Halfords Professional" 1/4 & 3/8 drive socket set including standard and long reach sockets, numerous extension bars, wrenches etc in fitted "tool tray" 22 piece "Halfords Professional" ring and open/flare spanner set in fitted "tool tray" 30 piece "Halfords Professional" screwdriver set in moulded polycarbonate case. All the tools and cabinet are covered by Halfords' no quibble lifetime warranty The seperate price of the above is £419 Sadly, no further discount available if you have a Halfords Trade Card (- they've also reduced the discount on the 150PCE set to £5 when it's selling for £99) If you decide to buy one then I'd suggest you take a friend with you as the cabinet alone weighs over 50 kg - Hopefully fits in a Corrado but not got mine yet! I think only the superstores are doing this but you should be able to order at any store (apart from the Metro's I was told) by using the codes below... item code 250548 HAL PRO S/D SET 30 PC item code 384859 HALPRO 100PC SKT TRAY item code 388199 HALPRO 22PC SPNR TRAY item code 181636 HAL IND 6 DR BB CABINET
  4. Welcome to the forum, all 4 cyl cars run the same base suspension parts and most body parts will be the same depending on whether your G60 has the early or late exterior and the 16v matches... if it's early (1.8L) then the interior will also be similar with matching switchgear etc
  5. Mr Yan Dards has a brand new late bumper for sale I think...
  6. Worth popping to Halfords and getting them to put the Bosch tester on the battery and then test the car
  7. It is fairly straight fwd but at the same time you need to know what your doing... First of all is it the just actual hub you are replacing (the face the wheel bolts to) and why? (The other part it could be is the bearing carrier which holds the hub/bearing that everything bolts to (Track Rod, Bottom ball joint, driveshaft, caliper carrier)
  8. Worth a look but I think the TDI one will be bigger (higher output)
  9. Yeah 150k is good for a clutch but also shows the engine has been well treated... I would be a bit worried about the chains at that mileage tho, is uncle Vince doing these also?
  10. The MK3 Bosch and Valeo alternators have the fan inside the casing and the brushpack is usually under the black plastic cover on the right... I assume you can take the cover off with it on the car - usually held on by 3-5 M5 (8mm) nuts... the pack is then underneath with another black bit of plastic covering the brushes... not sure if the pack itself coukld cause the above tho, Steve???
  11. That sensor is there for diagnostics - it lets the ECU distinguish between cyls 1 and 4 (I think) for knock sensing...
  12. Nah, your just female... :D
  13. I don't think you can just re-drill as the offset is all wrong on those discs for the hub vs caliper... 95 is the changeover...
  14. Also in the instruction manual...
  15. They are about £200 from GPC, best to get that mailorder or from VW if you have a trade contact and get it sprayed by a local good body shop to match the car... (ie the paint on the car may not be identical to the colour it actually came out the factory in...)
  16. Level ok I take it??? If so then the car thinks the temp is too high!!
  17. Mr NoCrap has found good results with Megiures stuff on BBS's but i'd say the key is to wax them over winter to stop brake dust sticking and corrosion...
  18. Hmmm - wonder if you have a water leak somewhere (matrix maybe) and a bit of corrosion on the fusebox / relay connections...
  19. Any chance you can post a pic of the fob - or find one on the net? You need to find the control box really and get the numbers off that, probably behind the gearstick area... Most alarm companies hold a record of alarm models and registration so worth a phone call but Clifford are fairly useless tbh (or there 'approved' fitters are anyway!)
  20. I'm not really sure tbh but wondering if it's one of those codes that makes the light stay on permenantly once triggered (maybe because it needs attention) - changing the battery reset it until it was tripped again...
  21. A Good battery and Voltage is important for ABS, worth measuring the volts across the battery terminals with the engine running to check the alternator output - should be 13.3 to 14.3 ish (around the 14V mark as opposed to 12.8 with the engine off showing a good, fully charged battery)
  22. Viper Green? - a MK1 Scirocco colour then!
