  1. It's probably 16mm ID (5/8") but maybe 19... (the bottom of the exp tank is 16mm, does it look the same size?) All standard size stuff as i've recently round out, halfords sell it off the reel or you can get Goodyear stuff from specialists (look on eBay for heater hose)
  2. Worth checking fuses etc, try another rado switch if you can mate or a mk2 one
  3. How do you mean not fitting?? are you sure the ZW1's are 130 PCD and not 112?
  4. Not good - looks more than £250s worth to me... hope you got her details! Welcome to the forum by the way, think i saw your car at e38, whats goping on with the 16V badge on the grill?
  5. Yeah, probably but like i say it could be the relays... worth changing the lot tbh...
  6. Hi mate, yes - £21 from VW for the early ones so not bad at all... Worth getting a new switch anyways but check your relays too - £2 a shot from maplins
  7. You should always fit new top mounts while changing suspenbsion - with todays roads they tend to wear out before the shocks...
  8. Yandards and i fitted one to his but the engine is not running yet - see the guide in the knowledge base!
  9. Yep, can't be anything else really...
  10. Vince is as good an autoelectrician as you'll find mate... Whats up - my trimsport (pile of shit) loom gets thru a relay every year or so do to corrosion... worth changing them all to be honest - £2 each from maplin
  11. Should be a 4 bar Pierburg unit but VAG only supply a VDO unit now so you also need to buy a new tank sender...
  12. Welcome to the forum! Have a read of the instruction manual when you get chance - it expains a few things you might think are strange if not used to VWs like the variable intermittent rear wiper and the fuel pump after run with the fan... Sounds like a good motor you've got with low miles but i would check the charger history because of the age more than anything else - maybe take it to G-werks for a check over!
  13. Sir James Renshaw fitted a full working MK4 system into his Corrado...
  14. Hi, you need to de-grease it and then look for the source... if it appears to be coming from the pipe unions then you can get new seals from VW (green O rings)
  15. Master Cyl, resevoir, Servo, BPPS, the 4 wheel sensors, pump unit, ECU, wiring loom(s), relays, Dash Light, front Hubs, rear ABS cages, pump feed pipes, brake pipes and so on... you can see why it was a £1600 option!
  16. Nice one - get a new one from VWspares, not an expensive item!
  17. Drive it to a garage and get them to undo with an air gun>
  18. You'l need 15mm hubcentric spacers...
  19. Cheers kev - Think i've sorted it now after a bit of dremmeling... at first I thought they could also be to stop the seal popping out of the disc but don't sit close enough to it to prevent this - as long as they're not overpacked with grease they should be fine anyways... I've painted everything and just going to fit the new stuff, got held up as i didn't have special tool 128760-73 to press the big bearings in but dad brought home a nice bit of 50mm scaffold cut on a bandsaw  Hows the BV head???
  20. Proabably just Febi mate, 2 years sounds about right... I got thru a pair of Febi VR6 top mounts in 6 months!
  21. I'd change the oil first to silver syntha or similar and see how you get on...
