  1. Your running very lean! Did the car feel the same after cam belt?
  2. Yeah the carriers will fit the 16v Hub ok... MC - not really sure tbh, The ABS ones have more outlets and i'm not sure you can block them??
  3. "Jesus Titty-f&cking Christ!"
  4. When was the fluid last changed?? if it wasn't pressure bled then sometimes this can damage the seals on the master cylinder... Could also be a servo leak - check the solid plastic pipe running to the inlet... Noise at the rear sounds like the fuel pump is it's buzzing - so you hear it if you turn the key to ignition 2 (primes) without switching engine on?
  5. Yep - it does fit both... It won't however fit the mk4 style alloy calipers found on the polo 6N2 with the smaller piston altho it can still be used to wind them back - just a bit more tricky!
  6. The G60 uses the Lucas / Girling G54 caliper (same as the Corrado VR6 and bvarious other Vag cars) - The 4 stud 280mm discs are unique to the G60. Calipers and Carriers in good condition usually go for about £100 The other option is the Girling 60 calipers and cariers as fitted to the Audi S2 with 280mm G60 brake discs - these are a twin pot caliper tho so unless you have ABS already you will need to also replace the master cylinder.
  7. Yandards has got the original X1 - he loves it!

    stop start

What engine is it??? sounds like a hall effect sensor fault...
  9. I think RPM do a custom one but not sure what it entails...
  10. Yeah the shocks come off the bearing carrier - no need to undo anything attached to it ie CV's, ARB's or BJ's
  11. Afraid so... altho i've often wondered if it's posible with spring compressors in situ...
  12. G60 / 280mm is cheapest way to go - parts from an ibiza are best as they will be newer... With a turbo tho and the bigger wheels then you probably want to go for the brembo setup with 305mm discs - more expensive now tho and is about £950 with parts from Seat (new) - maybe cheaper thru Badger5
  13. I think Darren can also get single H&R ones if required
  14. Spray brake cleaner thru the wheels...
  15. No - blades are the same length but the offset is different - swap them and you'll see what I mean You either need to order another arm or take them to an engineering shop to re-weld it to the same length as the shorter one
  16. Yeah - I think you need to swap the blades round but one arm is longer than the other (you really need 2 of the shorter ones)
  17. LOL - I been reading these since that email came thru this morning...
  18. Hi James, if they've been off before you can pull them thru if you need to but as above it's best to take the card off as the plugs are held with a plastic clip...
  19. H4's do dipped and main and H3's are used just for mains...
  20. dub25, Welcome to the forum! Tell me more... ? = is that actually a good thing tho as the VWM catalogue for the mk2 lists standard WB's and also explains why these should be used to give some compliance....
  21. Hmm - yeah I don't think there was any UK TV advertising for it....
  22. It may be a dead thermoswitch (the one on the rad) if it's only cutting in a 110 - but i'm not too sure about the VR system - worth a try tho... The fuse under the bonnet is either a 30a or maybe a 50a on a VR for the fan controller but this would not work at all without that fuse...
  23. Corradude, lol - thats TSW mate! TSR was originally Tin Stiles Racing which in it's day was a small outfit and had a reasonable reputation in the VAG tuning scene... Since he sold it tho it became a bit of a shambles and i've heard nothing but compaints over the last 3 years... I'd say good luck to the guys trying to re-launch it but as above I think the reputation is so far lost that they really ought to start with a new name...
