Well... I've driven several 200bhp G60's over the years but I was taken out by Rob_b last night in his with rebuild 1.9 bottom end and CNC head ect etc and have to say it felt awesome - power was ballistic. These CNC heads flow well but I reckon his rebuild bottom end matches it nicely!

Calling People with Coilovers, help required :? :? :?
Supercharged replied to mtc R32's topic in Drivetrain
Just buy new of everything - about £40 on top of the top mounts/bump stops. -
Who are doing them at that price, cheapest I found were just under £150 from GPC and that was at a show!

Lambda sensor tests ok, could it still be the problem?
Supercharged replied to Andy T's topic in Engine Bay
I'm wondering if the earth wire that terminates near the plug has got corroded... -
Dom - Neil has an A4 one for sale and it fits the Corado fine but it is HUGE!

Welcome to the forum - have a search on here for info already posted. Does it work manually (button on dash) - checked fuses??

Starter motor not dis-engaging?

Check yer oil level Mike!

Just use DOT 4 if thats whats already there and you can bleed the clutch from the slave without touching the brakes. Use an Eezibleed kit - if nothing improved then look for signs of a leak around the slave and the line to it.

I thinbk the TT ones are too long for the front of a C - you need late Golf VR ones.

Believe me, there's nothing 'Great' about Yarmouth anymore! LOL - f'ing right!

Mates been running his R reg Escort on 100% Asda rape seed oil i think for 2 years now - no probs at all and smells like a cinema.

Yep - I've got a full set...

Right, well I'm back from Karmann so hopefully going to have a look at this baby later with my assistant Mr Yandards and Mr VAGCOM. Mr Crap - can you email me the full size pics and txt me the reg no. so I can get the history checked out. Wheels ming but show originality and they'll do for the winter... you will need some TT wipers and a headlight loom tho if not already fitted.
-
Exactly - it's not based on a 53i chassis and not Karmann built. We'll hopefully know more when Jim and Eric fly out in a couple of days...

What was the original problem?

Take it to Halfords - they do it for free...

GSF Part numbers - VR6 oil pressure switches + temp sender
Supercharged replied to mr_fusion's topic in Suppliers Forum
Always get sensors from VAG if you can - GSF ones never last and they always give you the wrong ones... -
ETOS is just like a Windows version of ETKA - ie more Windows friendly...

Yeah - does sound like the release bearing - also could be running off centre on the shaft it sits on - both parts don't cost much, maybe £30 but with the labour involved you are best to change the whole clutch unless you know it's fairly new. If you need a release bearing I have a G60 one (VW part boxed - would have to check it's the same on yours) in the garage that i bought when I was getting the same after a new clutch was fitted but the noise went away - I assume the grease just worked its way in...
-
New sills are less than £20 each but I imagine it's a big job to change them...
-
The changeover is 89 so as long as your car isn't late registered then your ok...

The VW part number is the one that starts N ....
