ben16v, yeah - i did wonder that after posting... morale is - never rule out the ignition switch!
-
Not sure if this will help but i'd assume the dealer fit kits are similar to the factory fit.... Note the line pointing to where the resister goes (ie not directly onto the motor) - also looks like a standard mk2 part...
-
Yeah, unless the lambda wiring is broken / shorting Dying motors draw more current...
-
An air line is also useful for cleaning / drying...
-
I'd take the headlight switch out and look at the prongs on the dimmer - may just need bending so they connect
-
Completly different, just look at the headlamps! The Corrado one also includes what is called the grill rail on the mk2...
-
No - the G60 one will be early... Just buy a new one - very cheap!
-
Yeah - they should look identical to the Corrado ones - I have a pair with mechs if needed - £40 (would have offered before but I thought you just needed mechs and I want to sell these as a set...)

LOL! -
robwilson69, have you got AA or any kind of homestart cover - if so use it as they will diagnose the problem for free...
-
Welcome to the forum... Have you had it on VAGCOM? Have you changed the ECU and fuel pump relays and checked all the fuses? I assume it turns but does not fire so rules out the ignition switch?
-
It tells you in the instruction manual!
-
gcorrado, Welcome to the forum... When you say it doesn't work, do you mean it doesn't make a noise at all - if so check fuses first then take the cover off and see if you can move it manualy - see instruction manual)
-
Why don't you just fit VAG ones? - I have had trouble with almost every pattern part I've ever bought either not fitting or not lasting anywhere near as long as the original it replaced.... VW only from now on, worth the extra imo especially on a Corrado!

Now there's an idea! -
blocked breather hose to the carbon canister...
-
NjA666, check the Knowledge base, black surround comes off then several metal clips hold the glass on - careful not to cut yourself! Worth having a look first to check for any other damage before getting the new lense...

341 miles on one VR6 tank of fuel, can 360 be done surely not
Supercharged replied to willg95vr6's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah - should do that easily on a VR, they can return 35mpg on long runs without driving like a granny... -
PhilSatch, no worries - I'd also do the Fuel pump relay too (just as critical)
-
It's part of the dizzy so VAG don't sell seperatly as they do an exchange unit... Try a BOSCH dealer or auto electrician.
-
They seem to go quickly on VR's for some reason... Age / use will be the main one but running the fuel tank low will cause it to fail quicker as the pump will be working harder to lift the fuel and also the fuel disipates heat and noise from an in tank pump.

LOADS of questions! - flywheel one needed ASAP
Supercharged replied to bighands's topic in Engine Bay
bighands, I got some of that stuff from a car electrical and brake place - I bought 3 different sizes and they each came in bags of 25m and worked out at about £22 for all three - just have a look around in the yellow pages etc... -
Plus it's never a good idea to go much lower as the fuel cools the pump along with keeping it quiet. Use ther reserve reguarly and the lifting part of the pump will fail prematurely.
-
They are pence from VW... for info the side runner ones are sided - ie inner and outer...
