Supercharged replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in Exterior
50mm -
Yeah - retail price is £35+vat.... Agreed - for critical parts stay genuine!
-
Crank sensor? Also check king lead if it's an early VR?
-
coolrado, maybe PM Tempest for some shots of his engine bay...
-
I think they are just a bit lower down behind the front bumper...
-
The crank pulley - there are 2 listed for the G60 engines on several cars.... not one specifically for A/C... 037105253 037105255 Not sure which one is bigger tho (if at all...)
-
The waterpump pulley is a different part number (not sure what the difference is) but the crank was only different for US Passat G60's with A/C... coolrado, the first one is easy enough for the dealer to look up on ETKA (037 121 031A - G60 AC Water pump plulley), they're just being lazy!
-
Yeah - while pressing the switch... If you don't I've got a spare control unit I can send over for you to test (It's mounted close the the switch)
-
Not sure mate - I'd check power up to it before spending any wonga...
-
Check it again to see if its gone - it might be the one, they moved the spoiler about a bit...
-
Checked yer fuses?
-
silverado2l16, Welcome to the forum! Check the heatsheild on the CAT - may just have gone at one of the spot welds which is hard to spot without getting under there and someone else reving the engine...
-
Mark, I can see how much my mate at Audi can get you a rack for but I doubt it will be anywhere near the GSF/ECP price for that sort of thing...
-
Dont take the P but - Freezing Conditions and Spoiler ????
Supercharged replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in Exterior
I use silicon belt dressing spray, as Kev says no problems whatsoever... -
No probs - all feels ok I take it?
-
These manuals are excellent... not sure about the copyright situation tho...
-
40mm off the rears - shouldn't be too hard if they are the original foam ones... Fronts you can get away with but i'd try and cut them down too...
-
Are there no VW dealers over there?
-
Loza, they may be able to cut them down without taking them off, just get them to jack it up and try to cut them from within the springs...
-
What engine is it? GSF do sell pumps for most VW's I think... When was the fuel filter last replaced - when they get clogged up they can make the pump noticably noisy...
-
The BS's fit between the stuts and the springs so when lowering a car you need to shorten them otherwise you car will be riding on them constantly... So yeah, shorten by the amount you lower by... At the front you can use MK4 ones which are shorter or just shorten your existing ones... At the back the BS's also act as spring assistors so the originals will be knackered so you'll need to buy replacements...
