  1. Genuine VW alloy mount fitted with Powerflex (yellow) bushes Not great on a TDI (transmits too much vibration) but good upgrade for Petrol models £30 + £5 postage
  2. Ok, I have a new pair of Lupo GTI passenger Arms for sale The normal conversion uses drivers side arms and a blade from each side swapped over, so these arms are too long (on one side at least) Ideally these need cutting and re-welding to fit properly but if done right this could give a better fit than the TT arms if a slight twist was put in to match the contour of the windscreen. Could be a cheap upgrade for someone who's handy with metalwork - you have to buy the 4 separate parts now, so the Lupo and TT conversion costs over £125 new! Blades are used but still serviceable (one LH and one RH) £35 + £5 postage
  3. Brand new pair of Genuine VAG POLO (MK4 style) alloy Rear Brake Calipers (34mm) I have a brand new pair of Polo / Lupo / Arosa / Ibiza rear alloy calipers made by Lucas These are genuine VW boxed and in perfect condition. These are like the MK4 Golf ones but have the smaller 34mm piston for lighter cars Ideal upgrade for MK1 and early MK2 era cars using the Goodridge mk2-mk4 conversion hoses. 6N0 615 423A and 424A £100 posted (no exchange!) ---------- Post added at 7:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:55 PM ---------- Advert copied from my one on ClubGTI - should add these are not suitable for the Corrado!
  4. Yeah that's what I though - I could see it was fuel hose but too long and it's even been cable tied up - who would do this with a fuel pipe!!
  5. Dangerous! Make sure you use the best quality hose you can get as it's bent at quite an angle.
  6. Brand new set of R32 ceramic front brake pads £100 Posted
  7. Hi Dave, just having a look - may only fit the slightly later models according to this - http://www.vwspares.co.uk/passat_3b3_belts.php ---------- Post added at 8:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:55 PM ---------- Yeah unfortunatly the TPS site says 03-05 on the Passat... I think you need 038198119 (without the A on the end)
  8. Brand new genuine VAG unpainted alloy type (not re-manufactured) 22.2mm - fits all RHD Corrado's without ABS £75 posted
  9. These are sadly no longer available but I have 2 sets for G60 / VR6 (280mm) and one for 16V (256mm) These are regarded as the belt fast road pads you can buy that work well with VAG discs before the Ferodo DS2500's ( ~£100) I will do these with a set of standard Pagid rear pads (either MK4 type or Standard ABS / non ABS Corrado) for £60 posted or £35 for just the fronts.
  10. 038198119A RRP = £108.10+VAT Brand New Genuine Cam Belt kit for sale - will do for £75 Posted and include aux belt also. 11. 16V I assume? Just go to VW, they used to keep it on the roll but not sure now. It's standard hose so on't be expensive
  12. Those little white bushes wear out also - pennies from VW
  13. I drove this car before BB bought it and feel your pain!
  14. Could well be bad fuel - they few times something similar has happened to me it's been with Tesco petrol!
  15. Hmm - that looks a mess, usually those pipes get removed completely when the CC is removed... Fuel is a worry - the only fuel pipe round there is the small U bend from the end of the fuel rail to the sensor above where you've circled with a brown plug - check this very carefully for leaks as the exhaust manifold is below it! ---------- Post added at 11:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:47 PM ---------- Hmm - that looks a mess, usually those pipes get removed completely when the CC is removed... 16. What was it then??? (might help someone else in the future)
  17. That's too much hard work if you can get an Irwin round it - will remove them in seconds! Al - If Wolsey don't have the Corrado ones ask for MK3 Golf ones, they are 1mm longer I think which is fine but 50p each rather than £2 and they may have them on the shelf. BTW - If you're doing the pads then you'll need a Windback tool!
  18. Removing the belt is simples - use an M8x80 Bolt in the free hole in the tensioner to de-tension. If you need to remove the tensioner itself then it's just 3 bolts holding it to the side of the engine. Mechano!
  19. I'd be wore worried about setting fire to either the brake fluid or fuel tank... Get some Irwins, they work a treat although i've only ever had to use them once on rear brakes - it's just lazy mechanics not changing those bolts that cause the issue, they only do up to 65Nm so should come undone ok with a socket and blow with a hammer to break the 'rust seal'
  20. Don't use it - you'll screw the ABS sensor!
  21. 8mm mate, only use a socket and bash it in with a hammer to make sure it's all the way. If you can't undo then soak in fluid and get some Irwin Bolt Grippers (Homebase sell them)
  22. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alternator-pulley-Golf-MK3-Corrado-028903119F-New-genuine-VW-Part-/110819247380?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item19cd578514
  23. I'd take the belt off and check all the pulleys - could be the water pump is about to explode.
