Yeah, they are the only things you don't get in the kit, new ones can be got from GSF but fitting a brand new one to the uprated (thicker) bars could be a problem (mine were worn and you could see daylight thru them the original arb but it still took a fair amount of force to get them on the new one...

Passat handles should not 'break the circuit', all the wires to the handles do is switch (lock/unlock)

No probs - with a budget of £1500 i'd stick to the 16v's to be honest... good G60's are hard to find now and even if you do find one for that money it's bound to need a grand spending on it straight away... Good luck with your search and as always with old cars, make sure you look at/drive a few and don't settle for the first one you see!

Thats only because he sold his watch earlier in the week to pay for Corrado work...

Hmmm - are you sure it's that part, a relitively small strip of metal near to the front spoiler?? - It's just it's usually the bigger piece behind it that goes that attaches to the crossmember... (a lot more £)

Shouldn't need threadlock, just do up to the correct torque setting (the blue stuff you see on brake bolts is an anti-seize compound - NOT threadlock)

Yep, G-werks is only one person and he's just been away at VW Mania - give him a couple of days and if you don't hear anything give him another call....

It's a 36mm socket or you can use an old PAS belt as a strap wrench...
-
Remove the mirror by turning it to the park position revealing the 2 screws/bolts... to take it off the car completly you will need the door card off to unplug the electrics... See if you can see anything obvious but if not i'd try and pick up a second hand unit (a pair usually sell for about £50)

Pay the extra mate and go for Konigsports... far supperior!
