I think you'll find there are 2 master cylinders, ones for the clutch and one for the brakes - otherwise the brake pedal would also be the clutch pedal

But you'll need to take your test again soon.. -
Yeah, I called the number on the back of the container last year and was suprised when the answered 'Castrol Industrial Lubricants' and got them to send me some info on Quantum and they also included all the Magnatec stuff as well, the Quantum datasheet I have has Castrol on it and its almost identical to the specs of the GTX Magnatec, I think its basically the same stuff but without the 'magnatec'

You have got the wrong ones if its the fronts were talking about... It should say on the side of the box what models they fit and the G60 ones are the same as the VR6 - mine are FR - 5051 F (the fast road variety)
-
Yeah, thats what I thought also and the pipes were the right shape etc but when I got the old ones off and compared them - they were way bigger and would have leaked like mad... have you got the Boost ones as well??
-
If you mean fluid then 2 litres should do it
-
Change the cable and check the butterfly moves freely
-
Yep, heavy duty ones are available from C&R enterprises but I have heard these are OEM Ford parts!
-
You get them in the G60 kit but obviously if you want to delete the HE to fit a mocal and gain better access to the filter then you either need to do a bit of plumbing to connect the pipes or replace them with the mk1 items... Also worth mentioning that the intercooler hoses on my boost kit did not fit at all, the may have been molded on an older car with different intercooler???

Bought mine from the dealer when I bought the car, £50 inc vat, but... the ones Just mats sell at shows are better quality and half the price...
-
You won't even get a fault that needs clearing because the engine won't be started so the car will never know its been unplugged... thats if you have to unplug it?
-
Good call, need to change mine soon too 8)

anyone got the ETKA parts / manual CD ROM ?
Supercharged replied to akacheesy's topic in Suppliers Forum
If your running ETKA 5 then it needs to be run in 98 compatability mode... -
I would have thought the bearing would get quite noisey and not just 'go', I think there is a spring clip that holds the fork in place, maybe worth just taking the slave off first and checking its working ok...
-
Probably just the return spring...
-
Not forgetting the constant smell of fumes inside the car...
-
Plus there is the fact that they look w@nk...
-
Jedi, I'll give the Kamei instructions to Kev tomorrow, they show you exactly where to put the holes...

What problems?? and what version do you have and what version of Windows are you running? -
Sounds like a blocked radiator...
-
Silver Syntha is 10W-40 and made by Castrol for the VAG group :!:
-
Just tell them to do the annual service, should be less than £100 and just get them to do the basic servive and report any problems...
-
Yep, only worry about the pas pump if it starts to sound like an angle grinder, do check the belt for tension, easily adjusted from underneath with a 13mm socket.
-
Speed sensor on gearbox may have got damaged?? either that or the wiring to it or maybe gearbox earth missing?
-
:D
