  1. Apart from the Toothed stuff, Am I right in thinking the only other bits you need to do the conversion are 2 standard 8v Cambelt Tensioners and maybe a replacement for the Belt tensioning damper?
  2. I think there is a special tool but basically you need to get a flat edge underneath and push the glass upwards to unclip...

    Wide Rado

You might want to raise the car a little then  It also helps being able to steer round corners I find
  4.  At least he's not on his way to Portugal
  5. IMO the rainsports are good tyres and better than the Toyo's
  6. John is not such a bad name! - If they'd called you Shirley I could understand... :?
  7. Petrol in a diesel WILL harm the engine and the car will not get very far!! Don't start it or there will be much more work involved in fixing it! It happened in one of our work cars last week and becasue the guy hadn't started it all that was needed was the tank to be drained and a new filter (Vauxhall still charged over £200 for this and this included £20 to 'dispose' of the petrol! - yeah right!) The last time it happened tho the car was driven and it made it about 10 miles before stopping and never restarted, this also needed new fule pumps and injectors, the cost was around £500

    G60 query

Not sure but the G60 one is too small anyway IMO but you have to be careful to find one that will fit, especially if you have front mounted coolers etc

  16. If he has a driving license he must have passed before the theory test came into force :?
  17. Yep, everone moans about Tesco fuel, Its awful for older cars... I think its the 'cleaning' additives they break it down with play havoc with some engines, I put one tank in a 1.6 carb Golf and it didn't accellerate properly for a week, put your foot down and nothing! Even worse with our 1.05 runabout polo, kept cutting out at juctions on it, I never go near Tesco's with the C but I have found sainsburys / Morrisons / Asda to be ok.
  18. You could have chopped the left hand side of as well you muppet! - I started reading it in Welsh and ended up spitting all over my screen :x
  19. I'd say its worth next to nothing as a car in its current state as its like buying a car with no MOT or history, you could get a good one but more likely you will have to spend alot of money sorting it out. I would base the value on what you could realistically get for it if you were to break it, I'd say a grand tops.
  20. I don't think he's had any new Corrado's in for a while but worth giving him a call as there is alot of stuff up there!
  21. I think they must have just been or become a bit loose, as long as they spin with no real resistance they should be ok... Usually when they go they get harder to turn and noisy as the bearing collapses and expands... Remember there should be some play as the bearing will expand as it heats up.
  22. Yep, exactly the same as mine and i've had the same problems the last two fill ups... one was at an ESSO and one at Sainsburys, i think they have changed there nozzels - BP and SHELL are fine.
  23. Do they spin freely? They may just need tightening up a quarter of a turn or so (use a NEW split pin if you do this!)
  24. Yeah, I'd say thats about right, G60s aren't the quickest off the mark because of the first two gears so 8.5 sounds about right for standard, it also indicates that i will get a not huge but hopefully noticable difference by removing the CAT. ...and thats 10.7 minutes for the 2.0 8v
