I don't understand - If you ask for an END you just get an END - why would they sell you the whole Rod?
-
I bought a set of FR's yesterday (in stock at my local branch of GSF) for VR6/G60 - £30
-
Nope, they are the same for all models, the VR Track rod itself is different due to the plus setup but the ends are the same... £8.11 + vat from VAG left - 191419811 right - 191419812
-
But there is a corelation John, its called 'Corrado'... The theory being you replace one part and another breaks :?
-
Use the Febi Rubber bump stops from GSF (they will last much longer than the foam ones), use a hacksaw to trim them down...
-
I think the CCGB still do them at events, there all green tho....
-
Yeah, Dazzy's right, you must replace the ends as you will damage them, there only about £10 each from VAG
-
Yes, thats correct and the bearings are pressed.
-
ETKA (what VW use) and the Bentley Manual are what you need...
-
1 - Yes the bearings will really need changing with the rear discs ar they are pressed into them. 2 - Yes again, Halfords do one I think for about £20 for the rears, and the fronts just push back.
-
Rear washer - water goes into the boot, not onto the window
Supercharged replied to Blair's topic in Archive
Yeah, they don't really get dirty due mostly to the spoiler... You could always just disconnect the washer tubing and get rid of the rear wiper all together... -
ClubGTi get 10% at GSF....
-
Yep, mines also completly standard still and I don't notice any lag... wouldn't mind a bit more power and low down torque tho...
-
Yep, 4 pins and each NEED the little blue grommets to hold them in place, if not, the boot will leak!
-
You've never owned a 16V then
-
Thats the impulse sendor, you will need it... If there original leads then it unclip and fit straight onto the blue's but I have heard of some cheapo leads where the sendor is built in, if this is the case just get a new one from VAG.

You giot a good price for the car tho! 8)
-
...Far, Far away?
-
looks like someone was going to do it before me :(

Looks like a good install... 8) -
I think you can do it without taking the bumper off but it maybe easier to access if you do... someone posted a guide up not so long ago on how to do this?
-

Try a bodyshop... -
Yeah, they'd priced up the arms and blades seperatly - the ones from gpc are V6X2 998 406, I got a pair of these from the dealer for £33.
-
Yeah, thats normal mate....
-
They look like they do but i don't think its easily posible, the blades arn't expensive anyways and seem to last a fair while altho some have reported them wearing quickly, that could be down to brand of screenwash / alcohol content etc...
