2011 Corrado Forum Calendar - A few Still Available!
Supercharged replied to _Meth's topic in General Car Chat
Thanks for the update, could I ask that for the sake of 60p (and all of our sanity) that these are posted recorded and the tracking numbers posted in this thread please. I think the offer of a refund as well is good as it's now 2 months into the calendar year. Could I maybe suggest that the remaining 4 or 5 are sent to one of the forum admins rather than the CCGB as it was afterall advertised as a 'Corrado Forum' calendar and hence myself and the other moderators have had to deal with a number of complaints which can be fairly time consuming especially when we all do this in out spare time - I think Toad's car is also featured on it and I know he (along with several others) was not happy about these being sold on eBay etc. Please make sure these go out asap. -

Usually new rad time when that happens unfortunately... good luck though and if you need a rad then they are available from Classic Parts in Wolfsburg -
You can actually but them individually from Goodridge direct is you only needed a pair of fronts - still would have been £33 ish though...
-
I'd guess the foam pad inside the door is missing (should be stuck to the innter door skin behind the rod) - this pushes on the rod slightly so may take up the slack you're describing.
-
No offense but I think you've probably not bought the best example... the handling as completly standard should be sublime, I still absolutly love it and very confident to drive, so much better than any MK2 Golf I'd had and still compares well to new cars... Old or worn Bushes / shocks / bearings / ball joints etc is most likely the cause. Squeeks and rattles - This is mostly to do with vibration over the years and the current state of UK roads does not help but usually dash rattles are attributed to bad sterea / alarm installs and botched heater matrix / winscreen changes. My TDI conversion rattled all over the place when I got it and is better now but not great - The 'original' G60 I have is almost silent but all the original clips are in place, screws still have the mastic round them and the felt used in the factory - for a 20 year old car it's fantastic.

Yep, if the light comes on then a code should be logged - ABS codes never clear themselves like engine DTC's

Try a pack of these for starters - No10 x 15mm Pozi Pan-Head self-tappers - A2 grade stainless. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Screws+Fixings/Stainless+Steel+Screws/Stainless+Self+Tapping+Pan+Head+Pozi+10x34/d90/sd810/p90964 These seem to fit all over the place, headlights, fogs, scuttle trim etc

For the sake of a few quid I'd buy new wheel nuts now if original but I'd also recommend thread restoring them and the hubs - Halfords do a kit or you can buy individual sizes like I did from Snap-On for a couple of quid each. Clean them with the above then use a small amount of copper slip and always use a clean tray when removing them in future - I've done mine once a few years ago and they thread in perfectly by hand with no effort. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=14287&group_ID=1147&store=uk&dir=catalog

Check the ABS ecu for water damage...
-
You might have trouble finding a decent one second hand - they are around £70 from VW
-
G is an engine bay loom - if it blows straight away then you have a dead short somewhere.... I assume if you remove this wire it's wont blow... If it's number 11 (blue and white) that is the speen sensor to the stereo - probably not connected and left to short to earth somewhere. I think the lambda heater is also on this plug so could also be the issue - you can disconnect the sensor but that might not rule it out as on Corrado's the wiring seems to break down on the engine loom side if things due to heat.
-
Give Vince at Stealth Racing a call - they were re manufacturing these...
-
Well done for finding it mate - as I said I thought it would be a vac / hose issue... 2009 wasn't long ago - I would have a word with Lindvale, you must have a contact?
-
Do you mean the CO Pot or the outside air temp sensor?
-
I don't see the point of these - VW design the whole engine management system around the engine temp running at 90 degrees - fit the standard stat back in or it will constantly run rich.
-
Yes - rear calipers are all interchangeable.
-
It's an electrical adjuster - was an option and can be changed to a normal one which are around £7 from VW
