1. Volume of turnover governs. 97,000 built v ?????? and its a lot larger, so it still a demand and economic to make batches and get money back. .
2. Its an non-illustrated part on the Passat. ie. it shows (-) as an illustration parts reference number. Its listed immediately below the wiper motor itself in the ETKA Passat parts list which usually indicates association with the part or parts listed immediately above it in the parts table list. (-) does not mean it can't be ordered. Just as said, use the part number. It will come up on the system with a price and UK stock level. .

What am I missing?

Its just a dust blocking thing to stop the bell housing getting more dust (road dust) than just the clutch wearing. .

What am I missing?

Plate - 02A 301 157C plus self-locking M7 x 12mm (thread length) hex head bolts - N 010 227 6, 2 off. Anyone got a source for the thick closed cell sealing foam strip on the top lip of the plate? Draught excluder isn't rated at 100'C and no one seems to sell anything above 70'C. Plus it seems to be an odd dimension to find. 5mm wide by 12mm height. .
5. Bolt hasn't worked loose has it? .
6. Don't understand the VW stance. There are 4 core plugs at 36.6mm and one at 14mm. The 14mm is at the cambelt end along with one 36.6mm. At the gearbox end there are 3 core plugs used at 36.6mm. So two 036 103 113A is what you need for in behind the Flywheel. This has superceded the original 36.6mmm spare core plug 059 103 113. Or as below use the older part (same 36.6mm). This is the original spare...... 059 103 113. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/36-6mm-Crankcase-Freeze-Frost-Plug-cylinder-block-059103113-VW-AUDI-universal-/170794859699. Or http://www.volksbits.co.uk/servlet/the-11651/36.6mm-Crankcase-Freeze--fdsh-/Detail Its a standard core plug VW use in all their engines. .

Brake compensator

It actually states not compatible with a 16v in the drop down compatibility selection. All other models than VR6 are Part No.: 357 612 151 This is genuine ATE. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-GOLF-MK2-GTI-BRAKE-PRESSURE-REGULATOR-C46-/200602586830?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eb4d88ece (For a VR6. ie. Part No.: 1H0 612 151C And Tierod sells that as genuine ATE part here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLF-MK3-GTI-VR6-CORRADO-BRAKE-PRESSURE-REGULATOR-C72-/200704548022?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ebaec5cb6) .
8. The item 021 133 687 is attached to the breather pipe from the tank vent valve to the PCV. It is a smaller diameter than the pipe at the ISV valve. So isn't the lower half. As ETKA states Item 14 - 021 133 687, - bracket for hose which referring to item 13, 021 133 518B or H. Also 133 tells you it is fuel related, not coolant. .
9. I don't think the part is available as a spare. As with a lot of parts, the spares on ETKA are not necessarily the same as the factory part fitted nor sometimes even supplied as a spare for the car model and illustration area (ie. water coolant pipes). This looks as though it is one of those...... VagCats does not show non-illustrated parts but if you go to a proper ETKA..... On the VR6 engine water hoses illustration you will find two non-illustrated parts. Both are for holding pipes. One is associated with the Throttle Body pipes 155 971 787B, The other is associated with hoses around the Thermostat Housing 447 971 843B. Both are described as "Retainer, Swivelling” If you are sitting comfortably, 155 971 787B for the throttle body area is £4.43 + VAT and will go to "back order" in VW's system. It looks similar, the two pipe sadles are there, but.... the clip part for the ISV pipe is much smaller. (447 971 843B is £2.14 + VAT. and definely isn't the part.) When I look at Standard Parts, neither of the above resemble the photo above. Looked further through Standard Parts and there is not an illustration of a part that is the same as the above photo. But the detail descriptions are scant, so the above may be listed somewhere but no dimensions to confirm it. .

Rear tailgate foam

Only 2 left in stock yesterday at VW (UK). .
11. Yes Y3 Bottom right which is the top outer corner against the door pillar when the fuse /relay plate is fitted. Pin 3 of those 4 spade connections. .
12. The wire connects to the fuse/relay plate in the top corner next to the door pillar when the fuse/relay plate is installed. Pin 3 and uses a standard size spade. .
13. '92 G60: (mm2 = square millimetres) +12volts Battery /Starter - Black: 16mm2 +12volts Battery / Relay-Fuse Plate - Red: 6mm2 +12volts Starter / Alternator - Black: 10mm2 -ve Battery/earths 4 off :- Ground cable : 35mm2 Earth - Brown: 6mm2 Earth - Brown: 1.5mm2 Earth - Brown: 0.5mm2 .
14. On the G60 if its blue with white stripe, wire is the oil pressure sender connection to the oil pressure gauge if fitted. Wire ends up at the back of the Fuse/Relay plate as a single connector if not used. Extension to gauge is blue with yellow stripe. .
15. There is always a drama queen around isn't there. .
16. This got me going... so I've been under the back end to check the Koni part number 8041-1108, which is the same as the current Koni catalogue. .
17. Not a hard job. I was just surprised as Koni's usually fit straight on. Talked to them at the time about it, so maybe they took note. Had no problems for 14 years. The only nag is the rear side speaker shelves have to come out to make adjustments. So they've never been touched since determining the settings initially. Speaks well of Koni's (As on my other cars since 1980.) .
18. Mine, had to be widen out to take the shock shafts. Nothing dramatic, extra 2mm on the diameter. It was back in August 1998. So maybe early ones were an oversize diameter and Koni have since modified the rear struts to fit better. And yes, the extra's included the Koni washer fittings .
19. The shocks only go through bodywork hole each side. .
20. My rear Koni's TA's were the same with washers. Also had to drill out the bodywork hole as well. Hope you've checked that angle a well. .
21. The wire end is not OEM. Its been remade and badly at that!! See the brass ring tag to the front and slightly below the one you are pointing out. Thats OEM and it should look like that. And the one underneath the faulty one behind the OEM looks a badly repaired crimp as well. This is the original installation, 2 views: Top - Looking towards the windscreen washer bottle. Bottom - Looking towards the left radiator fan. Ignore the two blue ring tag connections along with the double red partly sheaved in black. They are not standard Corrado. The OEM are all brass coloured crimped ring tags. 2 single red wires and a double red wire. Somebody has bodged a double repair on those two cables in your photgraph and both need remaking properly. And the OEM lowest (double red) in the photo next to the black fabric pipe has broken its insulaltion as well. Thats just waiting to happen! .
22. Have you got a photo of this wire as I can't find it. All red or a thick black. Agrees with the 1995 Wiring Diagram and 1994 is the same. .
23. If you are going to spend that much, it may be wiser to future proof for little more. Yes it will work on the Corrado as you know from what I did at the Yorkshire meeting in Sept'2010. But if say you stick with the VAG marque in the future, you will find it won't work with CANBUS VAG group cars. My new Scirocco is totally CAN BUS and the above lead is useless for it. Works with most cars using a single K-Line, K+L, or dual K-Lines for diagnostics. (Does not work with some 2003+ cars using CAN for diagnostics.) This the one I use but in Serial Comms form because of the laptop and other things. Its USB equivalent is http://store.ross-tech.com/shop/VCHUC.html It will avoid spending twice and any VAG model is then accessible. Plus the re-sale value is there to a modern VAG enthusiast. .
