  1. Thanks. I wanted to pay it off by the time I was 40 and I did, it's just a shame it was at the expense of the car.
  2. Unfortunately it was the right thing to do at the time, I actually sold the car in October. I work in the oil and gas industry and although the low oil price is great at the pumps, it's crap for everything else. It wasn't an easy decision to sell the car as it is a complete one-off but needs must and as a result I'm mortgage free. The car was sold to a guy fairly local who had actually tried to get me to sell it just after I bought it. His intention to store it away. I've text him and it's still his but trying to sell it through a dealer I think. Maybe he bought it all along with the intention of making some money. He has certainly put 50% on the purchase price! I can't honestly see it selling for that price, but who knows. One bonus, if someone is willing to pay the asking price then I can't see them putting big wheels in and lowering it. As long as it's looked after, I don't suppose it matters who has it. It does need to be driven though as its a shame not too.
  3. PM me your email address and I'll send you the add.
  4. Nice Storm. I was going to go an view this car about 10 years ago. It was for sale at Volkscars and it had 39K miles on it. I have the sales advert still on my PC and the photos!
  5. I think it was a company called Euro Quality Coatings in Cardiff, I think it was £80+VAT for the rear beam, brake backplates, mounting brackets and tank straps.
  6. Looks amazing! The updates are always top notch! If you want that OE look for the chassis parts I would recommend the 'e' coating route rather then powder coating. You can get it done at a place in Wales and it is cheaper then powder coat.
  7. I think jay renshaws had about 250k miles and still hit 190bhp on the rolling road day a few years ago
  8. About 6mins into the programme. In st.Albans Looks like a G60. Repeated on channel 4 at 9pm
  9. Anyone's on here? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Corrado-Golf-Vento-alloy-wheel-Speedline-535601025d-NOS-New-Gen-VAG-/111891684933?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  10. It was about £120 to biggred plus an additional £100 or so for the copper stike and high quality coating. The fronts were cheaper (directly to derby plating) but they didn't fit new seals, pistons and shot blast the calipers.
  11. I had my rear rear calipers refurbished at Biggred, if you specify high quality plated finish they send them to derby plating for the finish. I then spoke directly to derby plating and paid additional cost to have them 'copper strike' the calipers first and this adds additional corrosion protection to the calipers. These are mine after plating: When I did the fronts, I sent direct to derby plating but I don't think they shot blasted them first (like biggred did) and they have started to tarnish slightly.
  12. Looks superb but I think you have put the PAS pulley on the wrong way. its not much out like that but enough to make the belt squeal!
  13. P This is stunning work your doing. In my opinion the best after market exhaust for the corrado is the supersprint system, nice size oval and sweeps upwards like the original exhaust. Top quality too.
  14. Just bleed the whole system using something like an easibleed. Start at the caliber furthest away from the master cylinder and work towards it. The abs is bled with the 2 nipples on the top. Don't forget the clutch and master cylinder last. No need for VAGCOM when bleeding. Can be a pig of a job I've found.
  15. I'm sure I have, I'll fire the laptop up!
  16. Ha Ha, cheers Daren. The iphone was my friend during the build. I've loads more if you need anything. Keep up the good work, its looking great.
  17. Looks like yours is slightly out of shape but it goes on the engine mount at the drivers side. There are 2 heat shields if I remember correctly and this is the top one. Excuse the pictures, this is pre-clean. from another angle Found another pic
  18. Yes, sorry these are now sold.
  19. Pictures of said Porsche please....
  20. I've seen a sample of these ones and they didn't fit very well, a bit loose in the gutters.
  21. L He must have been chuffed to send you all those kisses!
  22. I have a pair of front rubber mats for a corrado. The passenger side has the corrado badge but the drivers side doesn't. Postage won't be cheap as they are quite heavy for their size so was asking £40 posted.
