  1. Buy brand new Jim then sell your set. The finish on new is better then refurbished
  2. Exactly. Just shows how mileage is so irrelevant.
  3. Not saying it is a dealer but if you look at the so called 'classic car dealers', the low mileage feature in the first sentence of any advert.
  4. Unfortunately people don't see that Kip's car is as good as a new one, they only look at the mileage. They seem to look for sub 50k mile cars.
  5. If the highest bidder is a dealer then do you have no option other then to sell him it?
  6. Depending on your budget, there is a place in Germany called felgen Fuchs the makes 17" BBS rs centres and all the barrels and dishes. You can spec them exactly as you want.
  7. Looks perfect. If they aren't genuine discs, I would recommend spraying the discs (except the friction area) with a matt finish galvanised spray. It gives the discs the OE finish and stops them rusting. If you are going to put the solitudes back on it would be worth it. I used some on my front discs
  8. I've seen that on other posts, looks good, is it rubbery like the original stuff?
  9. Dinitrol 447 is supposed to be the same as the factory stuff. It says it stays permanently elastic.
  10. I didn't think table tennis tables needed brake fluid?
  11. Yep, the big 40! I sold the nova GTE privately to buy a red 1.8 16v corrado but turned out to be a right off so ended up with a 3 series bmw.... What a mistake
  12. My 2nd car was a red Nova GTE, bought it in 1994 when I was 18.
  13. Is it still rubbery or does it dry hard?
  14. Yeah, the OEM stuff is like a rubber coating. Is the 3m stuff the same?
  15. Looks great, did you have to touch up any of the stone chip? If so, what did you use?
  16. I honestly can't see anyone paying 25k! If someone buys it and uses it then the value will only go down. I asked these when I sold the car and they would only offer 8k......
  17. Shouldn't drink and drive....
  18. It is that one. The one on Fast Classics has Koni dampers (yellow) and stainless steel exhaust. Well remembered.
  19. Looks tidy that one. Bet they paid a lot less then 10k for it. companies like fast classics, KGF and the like are doing a great job of scooping up all the low mileage cars and asking crazy money for them. I guess as long as someone is willing to pay the money, they'll keep at it. KGF currently have a series 1 escort rs turbo for over 30k! Who pays that kind of money for an escort?
  20. I recommend turps and a toothbrush for areas with paint on and thinners and a toothbrush for areas that don't. Have fun!
  21. We went to York at the weekend and stopped by to see it and it had a sold sign on it.
  22. I used to see it in the morning, it was before I had mine so a few years ago now. Number plates are about all I can remember now I'm 40 mate!
  23. Looking nice! It's not from the hull area is it? I recognise the reg.
