I just pay mine by direct debit each month, cheaper then buying 6 months I think.

Storm leather is no different but heating came as standard. Gliptone do a really fantastic leather treatment that colours the slight cracks you get in leather. You send them the headrest and they match the colour perfectly. It's amazing stuff. Doesn't look like you need it though.

Interior looks lovely. They look like they haven't been sat in

That's seems a good price, KDS look to know what they are doing. The enzo they did looked amazing

Randomly I just picked out an old vw Audi car magazine from September 95 with a corrado vr6 article in and to quote the writer: "When I first tested one for another magazine I said that in many ways the corrado vr6 took the place of an entry level Porsche when the Stuttgart marque vacated the £20,000 - £25,000 class. One year later that verdict still stands" That would have been written around the 993 era I suppose.

Got a load of pictures sent through so will post them up tonight. They look good to me. He is also looking to see if he has a short sample to send me. at the moment he has 80 sets ready to go and will then be making more. They also come with end caps!

Another reply, this sounds promising: We have the roof mouldings presented on 06.27.2015 in Rinteln at the International Corrado meetings 18. The Corrado Club Germany and members are absolutely convinced of the quality and workmanship of the roof mouldings, these were even perceived as better than the original standard. For quality: The roof moulding sets consist of high-quality materials: Certified by: TPE rubber strip ISO DIN ISO 3302-1 Tails PA12 DIN 16901A.

Sorry Jamie if I've stepped on your toes. If you have been in touch, let me know.

Just dropped him an email and they are 200euros a pair. I'm going to see if he can send me pics of them and see how many sets and any group buy options etc

another car on my want list is a caterham 7 with prisoner alloy wheels!
-
I do like the 996 and especially the c4s but I like the classic headlight look of the 997. If I ever sold the storm it would be replaced with a C4s or 997 carrera s
-
996's are nice but not as good looking as the 997 which also seem to be coming more reasonable just lately.

Enjoy the show! Don't need any pics of matts legs though thanks

Nice one, I have genuine vw ones on mine, they just clip on. They do have some little rubber spacers on them that stop them rattling. Do you mind me asking what you won them for pls?
-
I wouldn't say problematic (touching wood!), I've done 50k miles in mine and its never let me down. Its on nearly 98k and still going strong.
-
If your after out and out performance then get a gti. Mine looks the same as a gti, doesn't go as well but I can get over 60mpg!
-
not sure about the DPF clearing out, I just didn't fancy taking the chance. The wing wasn't a recall, it's just a common issue and I don't think VW want there cars running about rusty. You can google it and there are loads of threads on cars being done. They did both front wings too.

I've got a 2008 mk5 gt tdi sport. It's the 140bhp and it's fantastic. The mpg is amazing, we've had it 3 years and done 50k miles in it. It's just coming to 98k miles and it's only needed discs and pads and a rear spring. The front wings started to corrode so about a month ago I took it to VW, he checked the paint thickness to make sure it hadn't had work before, it hadn't so I've just had 2 new wings fitted and painted free of charge!! I would go for the 140 so no dpf then get a remap to 170 for £250.
-
Looks nice! Is this a new business venture or are you crazy enough to have 2?
-
Woah! Major surgery! Would it not be easier to take the whole rear side quarter off for welding? Not that I know much when it comes to this sort of thing. Love to see this kind of full restoration.

Wanted:Any Corrado Storm OR 1.8 16v in corrado red colour
ChrisL replied to Smallville's topic in Wanted
There's a green storm on eBay, 155k miles which I guess is low. Not over the top modded either. -
Not after a cater 'ham' are you? I'd love one, had a go in a couple of different ones now and they are great cars.
-
I have the original version! All in german as you say.
-
Can safely report that this motor is a true beast!! Goes really, really well and stops even better! You've done a great job with this Matt and the paintwork is like glass. Hope my neighbours didn't spot us stroking your windows!!

I thought these where still available from VW?
