  1. Best not go out of the house? Up to you. Depends how you drive. More observant than me? Hmm, well, I was trying to keep my car and both of us in one piece so I wasn't looking at the speedo. Next time you are in a similat situation, I'd like you to take the time out to look at the speedo for me please, thanks. Yep, f*cking tractors, and f*cking scooby drivers. In this thread it has already been said that the guy shouldn't have left his tractor there at that time of night with no lights on. The guy shouldn't have been up my arse. Where in this sentence have I said they're at fault? CONTRIBUTING FACTORS. FAULT. See the difference here? As for the comment about my driving, that's a bit personal, coming from a mod. That shouldn't surprise me though.
  2. Yeah, mine does this. I have to just press the switch really hard, until I buy a new switch...
  3. Do you slow to 30 every time you have a car go the opposite way then, or have a car behind you? Apart from being night-time, there was no poor visibility, the only poor visibility was caused by someone deciding to sit on my bumper and someone coming the other way.
  4. For the record, my girlfriend said today i wasn't even doing 60, didn't think I'd have to mention it, but whatever. Also, did I say they were at fault? They were contributing factors, be it large contributing factors to an incident that could have been a lot more serious than it was. Best not go out of the house tomoro anyway, you know, JUST IN CASE. What if, and all that.
  5. Why even bother posting that? What have you added to this post? That's a ridiculous mindset to have. What if I come out of my house tomorrow morning, and a lump of ice discarded from a passing Aeroplane lands on my head and kills me? Best not step out of the house, eh? What if I have a blowout on my local A road, and kill a family of 5 in a Nissan Micra? I guess, that would make it my fault for running silly profile tyres and driving recklessly/at excessive speed? Better put some sensible "normal" tyres eh? What if one day you decide to use your car to its potential in a legal way on a track, but you have a freak accident and end up killing 20 onlookers, including 10 kids? Better not go on a track day, eh?
  6. I second that mate. Plus you've always got the risk that the paint could start to come off and look pants. :nono: It's all personal opinion but mine is they look pants painted....
  7. Anyone have any idea what sort of money I can get for this then?
  8. Dont do it. That's free, and looks better.
  9. I think there are some without?
  10. Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Anyone got a G60 block for sale?
  11. I paid 3600 for it, which if it was in perfect running order would be what it's worth. I don't have the paperwork for the charger, I have lots of receipts for other stuff from G-werks though. I may be able to sort something out with Darren, I'm pretty sure the charger was re-built with him. What sort of money do you think I could get for it?
  12. Yeah. It's an R1 charger, but running a 65mm pulley. It's only got about 3k on the clock I think, so its got another 18-20(maybe) left in it, more if you replace the pulley.
  13. Right, I'm thinking of selling my G60, after 2 months (if that) of ownership. The car has a few problems, which is why I'm unsure of price. The crank oil seal has gone, which needs replacing, I was gonna do the clutch at the same time but I need a friend with mechanical knowledge and tools and a spare weekend. The door handle is busted (I may fix thie before the sale), the headlight switch is temperamental (again may be fixed before I sell). The bodywork is generally OK for 15 year old car but the lacquer has peeled in about 5 places on the driver's side...bit above the door lol...bad respray a few years ago. Also the wheels could do with the lacquer sanding off or a re-furb. The major problem though, is that a piston has been replaced from where th eprevious owner cracked the old one, and it still isn't running right. It is 30psi down on compression in that chamber. I'm blatently going to make a big loss on this if i sell it, and I don't have the money right here and now to convert it to a 1.9 and do the other things I wanted to do to it. It has tax and MoT until January, but I don't know what to do. Should I keep it, or sell it, and if i sell it - for how much? Thanks in advance.

    corrado wing

I don tthink you can get Rado wings with vents but any good bodyshop will put the vents in, or Cool Louvres will too. Look them up on Google.
  15. Well for the record I wasnt doing 60 round a bend. Whatever, I was obviously driving like a dick. Where's the eye rolling smiley when you need it?
  16. I knwo someone was gonna say this. Fine, whatever you say. I know I was well within my limits driving at the speed I was doing and considering the conditions. As i said the road was greasy, big deal, it's greasy a lot of the time. I have driven this road countless times, know it very well indeed, and have driven it a lot quicker in worse conditions so I know my limits. I wasn't racing, I wasn't pushing my luck, and I wasn't driving too fast for the conditions.
  17. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm splitty. I approve.
  18. IS there any poiint in getting an uprated/aftermarket VR clutch or wil lthe atandard one suffice?
  19. I still wouldnt replace the foam, I'd either stick reflective material in the gaps or leave it without it completely....
  20. Right, I was on a B road taking my missus back tonight, the weather here isn't as wet as it is up in plymouth, just a bit drizzly, so the raods were a bit greasy. I had some idiot right up my ass (in what I later found out was a 55 plate Scoob STi) because I wouldn't race him, and he had HID's so I couldn't see sh*t in front of me. Come to a little straight, I'm doing a steady 60, a 4x4 is coming the other way - I think it was a new shape Range Rover and it also had HID's, so my visibility was even more impaired, so it didn't help when he switched his full beams on in front of me (think he was TRYING to help, just made thigns worse) - well, about 20 yards down the road there was a tractor, stopped dead, on my side of the road, with no lights on. As it had been in and out of fields all day (it seemed) the road was covered in mud. Well, as soon as I saw it (apparently my gf only saw it a split second before I hit the brakes too) I hit the brakes, but as it was muiddy all they were doing was locking up as I pumped them, so I had no choice but to swerve round it at about 40-50 on a muddy, wet road. Luckily, I made it past, but the car went a bit sideways, and I sh*t myself. What kind of complete idiot (1) drives right on your bumper, without overtaking you when they have an opportunity, and so impairs your visibility, and (2) parks a f***ing great tractor in the road at night WITH NO LIGHTS ON?! My missus said if there was something coming the other way 5 seconds later we would have crashed but I would have seen the tractor so much earlier if that was the case, still think I'm f***ing lucky though, and I was impressed by my own driving lol
  21. flusted, it's called a caramel wheel. Close though! VR6, brake cleaner is safe to use on bodywork, it even works on clothes. It's amazing stuff.
