I know the panels that are in the dash, controls vents are different but the shells cant be that much different, someone will know the answer no doubt..

    Sprayed dash!

Well if an early dash shell is the same as a late ill do you one for a very good price that you can play with... Judging by your seat attempt this will end up being spot on..
  4. Ive got this lot up for grabs..

    Sprayed dash!

Sounds good, reckon you should just buy the Campaign and have it already done and then rotrex it up...
  6. Bird poo is quite abrasive and shouldnt be rubbed, best bet is use hot water to 'soften' it up and then ever so gently wipe it away with a wet cloth.. The scratches should lift out with the use of a decent polish, megs scratch x or something along those lines.....

Any idea of how much the going rate is for a dash trim?
  8. Looks like you recovered the Polo just in time... Welcome, enjoy your new car..

    Cooling problem

To stop the fans coming on id be checking the fuses in the control box - there are 3 possibility that the thermoswitch in radiator is shot - to test short the terminals in the cable and see if they work, if it starts then the switch is dud. Otherwise it could be the fan motor - run a lead to earth from the negative terminal of the motor and go round each other terminal with a 12v supply, should start each stage. As for it being so hot, must be an airlock, run the car up to temp with the header tank cap off and 'massage' top and bottom hoses to encourage it to bugger off..
  10. I saw a non GTI earlier today and it had normal style wipers, unsure of its age im afraid..
  11. Congrats on your new purchase, you managed to keep the Golf?? You will get used to the power and want more, just enjoy yourself, look forward to seeing some pictures...
  12. Youve not had much luck there but all credit to you for getting on with it and doing the work yourself, far more satisfying and a lot more freindly on the pocket...
  13. You dancer.. Ill have a look at the car tomorrow and see which will do the job best and get back to you tomorrow....
  14. Interesting - which numbers, condition, age, mileage, price???? :)
  15. That would be smashing if you have, im being fussy though its gotta be red.. :) Keep me posted... May have to do this if no one has any spare, dont suppose you know if you can specify colour?
  16. Right, one of my HT Leads is very poorly and the insulation has broken down near the spark plug, it has been getting worse rather quickly so: Does anyone know where i can get a single VW Ht lead in red, it is for No1 cylinder but as its running a schrick and hides underneath it could possibly one a bit shorter, say number 2, 3 or 4. Or does anyone have one they no longer require????
  17. Agreed, did mine very recently and im well happy with it, should have done it ages ago. Ive kept the lock, delocked handles mean only way in is through the boot if the fob dies...
  18. It wont sit correctly due to it being too narrow, the indicators and fogs can be made to fit... Id say you were best to hold out for a late one...
  19. Some serious work has been put in here, hats off to you, should be a beauty when its all sorted.. Good to have met you at E38 earlier in the year..

Ok, intending on converting my rears soon to Mk4 items so couple of questions for those in the know.. Ive seen a set on a Skoda Fabia that i hope to get today, whats the score with hoses, do i use my existing ones opr the ones that are on there or should i just go with Goodridge items, if so can someone recommend a supplier and what i should be paying for them.. Thanks.....
