They arent the same. The later ones come with a plastic housing where the indicator clips into. The early ones dont have the plastic housing..

You can get them from Halfords aswell. IIRC they are a bayonet type fit, 1.2A bulb (clear).

Am on the verge of purchasing the bits needed for the conversion for the 288s on my VR. I have read alot of useful info on here but still have the following questions: What hoses do i need to get, anyone have part numbers, expected prices and best places to buy from?? Anyone have any recommendations for discs and pads to use in the set up, am i best off going VAG?? What sort of price should i look to sell on the bits i will be taking off once the conversion is done?? Thanks in advance for any clues..

It certainly increased the desirability of your car. When i was looking for my storm i specifically wanted aircon and therefore was prepared to pay extra for it. Its something that not everyone is bothered about having, the ones that want it though would probably expect to pay for it..

Cazza, quick question about your old valver.. Is the windscreen with the tinted top a VAG item, would you recommend it, any probs with fitting etc etc??? Saw you old car at the south coast meet yesterday, looking good and is in safe hands....

The grommet i got was from B&Q and doesnt need any sealant, its a very tight fit. The Halfords ones are too slack...

I saw in a mag about 10 years ago where someone had made a 90mm chin from the front fit on the rear. Not my cup of tea realy but was subtle. Had twin pipes so (DTM upsweeps) so had been cut to accomodate them.

IIRC correctlyPhil_k got a set changed for free beacuse the logo peeled off. I cant complain either, they did mine custom and have had them for over a year without probs..

Welcome to the forum, looks lik anice motor. The wiper motor was never covered as standard, only the fan intake on the passenger side will be covered over. People have made ones from mk2 golf bits though and there was a group buy on an aftermarket scuttle cover. Good luck getting her sorted.
