  1. Yes they work, an absolute get out of jail free card so long as you can get a wratchet in..
  2. Irwin bolt grips?? Can you get a socket in there?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IRWIN-10-Pce-Bolt ... 240%3A1318 Really are a must for any Corrado owner..
  3. Id be furious if that hapenned to me but agree that doesnt happen for no reason.. Jealousy isnt enough to do that..
  4. Mine was done with a welding torch and cut just infront of the rear beam..
  5. Sounds crap that Karl..... Not really mate it sounds lovely..
  6. You dont mean that Kip, i can only imagine you to getting more Corrados, not getting rid..
  7. Not a chance Jon, it would need a stupid amount of work to get to that standard, just a nice daily is the order of the day...
  8. Well i got the steelies on and have gone back to a single headlight grill.. Also fitted a new power steering drive belt as the other one was dancing round all over the place and a new speedo cable. Need to get the drive gear thing that goes on the cable next as there wasnt one at the dealers when i was there the other day.. Next plan, new clutch, the one on there is well past it. Im getting the scuttle tray cut out and the rust sorted on the leading edge of the roof at xmas so that should smarten that out.. On the bigger scale, i quite fancy some ED1 recaros and the engine is going to need a rebuild - possible change to ABF, VR6 not being ruled out.... Pictures... I wasnt going to mess about with this car.....oops...
  9. Chuffed for you mate, great news...
  10. Seems a bit silly to me... They arent going to go away either, ones will be crashed and theyll just make more.. Im just suprised that someone as Studios as Eric, who has two of the cars still cant spell Scirocco.. :) :)
  11. Wish id known you were parting company with those rims, id have had them or done a deal on my R32 lump.. Going to be off the planet when shes done and by the way i still owe you a tenner mate for the grill badge...
  12. My understanding is that when you have the key turned fully round then the starter pinion should be engaged and when you release it should move away fomr the flywheel.. When peoples starters are sticky you get that nasty crunch sound as they are held engaged for too long.. There does seem to be something a miss there..
  13. Not decking it because its a daily, come on Kip thats a poor excuse..... Only joking, your call really, its always nice to know that something is new, its done then and doesnt need to be worried about for ages. Id probably inspect and recondition, theyll soon tell you if they wnat to play ball...
  14. Karl, ill give you a ring in the next couple of days, need to see how you are getting on and have a load of questions... We all represent mate, yours is a beauty as well... Thanks very much Phil, very nice of you to say so.... Slight update, new rims, possible so long as they arent gone by the time i get north again. Not RSs, just something in the mean time, think i might try a few different sets on the old girl.
  15. Good luck with the MOT, i always have a bit of a worry about it...
  16. These bad boys arrived today, wont get them on till next week though..
  17. R32 does seem to be the hot topic and yes im on the bandwagon, ive got one almost ready to go into my car. I dont get the which is cost effective arguement, charged turbo or 24v. We dont buy these cars because of the cost effective side. For me i want an R32 because i enjoy the feel of a NA 6 pot and call me vain, i think its a nice looking engine in the bay. Go with what suits your wants from you car and how you want to perform, sound etc etc.. I know at the moment it looks like every 12v will become a 24v but a couple of years ago it looked like everyone was going to charge their VRs and they didnt.
  18. You can get carpets that accomodate a full size spare mate...
  19. Me and my old man went to an all types classic car show today in Sunderland. There were all sorts of cars there, E type Jags, a variety of old Fords, MGs, Triumphs etc. There was a very tasty 3 door cossie which i would love to have taken home.. Heres a couple of pictures of my corrado flying the flag. I was really chuffed with some of the comments that people made, people really do like our cars..
  20. News on the swap, engine is in bits at the moment, im trying to bring all the aluminium back up to new and will be resparying the manifold, it isnt bad but has a few marks. Need to remove the climate compressor and get a shorter belt for it. Think i need to have a chat with Mr Davies to see how he is getting on.. Managed to score all the missing inlet bit on the bay at a very reasonbale price. The install will be in the new year..
  21. Nice pictures... I like your reg plate alot..
  22. Yes mate, the matt finished ones are standard brand new items, the stearing wheel looks the same as well...
  23. Cheers Bill.. The handbrake lever (£30 ish) and gearknob (£20 ish) are both still available at your friendly local dealer...
