  1. Looks like your laughing tea cakes then Steve, happy days...
  2. The beam is the same, not sure whether it will have all the fitting mounting points though for the ABS wiring runs..
  3. I used standard VAG items on mine when i sorted mine last month. Not that much of a pain to fit if you can get access to a bench vice and the proper tool or something that is like it.. They feel brilliant, its tightened everything back up and the last ones did 100k and werent even that bad so no reason why these ones wont...
  4. Aux water pumps are about 80 quid from GSF.. Dont go overboard with the G12, i did when i had every cooling problem known to man and it can make the car run 5 degrees + hotter. 1 bottle is quite sufficient.. When doing the stat housing make sure you get all new seals, i cant remember whether mine came with them or whether i ordered seperately. You going to keep your existing thermostat. If getting a new one check it in a pan of boiling water before fitting as the one i got was crap and i had to do the job twice.. Heater matrix is the only other bit if your wanting to do everything in one shot.. If you contact VW for the hose clips you will be sold jubilees....
  5. Thanks very much Andy, that day at Stealth seems like such a long time ago now... Glad youve decided to keep ahold of yours, i never got to see your white one in the metal, if you come anywhere near that standard with your current one it is going to be a cracker... Cheers Dave, im going to be there, no Rado though...
  6. Low miles or not thats a great achievement, i hope i can sit here in 7 years and say the same... I know you arent a show off Bill, in fact i reckon you play the condition of this car down, its stunning...
  7. Its cleaned up really well since then, you guys definitely cam up trumps recommending that i went for it, its been brilliant fun every time its been driven..
  8. The Green Golf was just a fluke but im so glad i went for it... :) Really has been a lovely day, ill probably be pink later as im not the best in the sun.... Sunroof fully functionable, not too keen on winding it back just incase, no worries of that in the Golf - good old fashioned hand-draulic...
  9. Been a nice day down in pompey do gave the Rado another coat of Dodo Juice and the Golf a good clean.. Couple of pics...
  10. Show off.... :) I cant grumble with a 3 out of 3 for me.. My rear axle bushes were worn but not terribly but i couldnt resist.. Just get the magnex anyway Bill, its a huge improvement over standard...
  11. That was the idea mate - no disrespect to any with a Scooby but its not my cup of tea at all...
  12. All i do is jack one side up at a time which allows some wheel arch access and get a sponge and wash all along the underneath, i end up getting a bit wet but its worth it.. Received your PM BTW, reply coming... No its not mine, it was parked next to KIPVWs house so i thought id take the chance of getting the two together...
  13. Good to hear your soldiering on with yours, think we do need to arrange a meet so we can all have a peep at Andys new beauty.. Wasnt a bad run back down to Pompey at just over 36mpg. Got hit with a bit of snow but its all been washed including the underneath before she went back to bed...
  14. Thanks very much mate.. Tha paint work is 98% original, i have had colour coding and the leading edge of the NS wing painted and a couple of other small areas but otherwise its factory.. I would love a respray in the future but i cant grumble, there are just a few bits that i know about that bug me...
  15. Front only is wider.. Only difference with the rear is that groove that runs along the top of the bumper on the late one runs to both edges and on the eraly it curves up in line with the arches...
  16. Heres a couple from the weekend. Managed to rack up 1000 miles in rain, snow and all weathers but it was great to drive the car to its full potential across Weardale and some spirited motorway driving.. These pics were taken at Elsecar where i got a prize which is always a nice bonus.. Brakes have gone silver and am rather keen on them, the Nakamichi head unit is in and it is awesome, silver tank straps are on... Heres one next to a Rice Rival, id take mine any day... :)
  17. The dodo juice is great, not tried combining types before, might have to give it a whirl...
  18. What a good find mate, result.. Lowering, got to be KW, excellent quality...

    TT Comps - Refurb

Impressive start, i think these wheels look cracking on a Rado, perfect winters as well, nice and easy to keep clean..
  20. Big thanks to smithy2020 for the headunit which im very happy with.. A massive thankyou to Karl (KadVR6) who posted it onto me but also paid for it upfront to secure the purchase - much appreciated...
  21. Coming along very nicely, certainly doing some spending, youre going to like the KWs.. How much are VR charging for the mirror glass???
  22. Does the spolier not go down when you slow right down to about 5 mph?? Speaker problem id say check the connection in the door card and then have a look at the back of the radio.. Grinding in rear arch.. If your not sure if its been lowered post up a picture, its unlikely to be rubbing unless it has been decked on some big wheels. Id say more likely your brakes are grinding or a wheel bearing.. Might be worth jacking the back of the car up and spinning the wheel by hand and having a closer listen... Good luck and welcome...
  23. BBS Steering wheel is nice Bill, what diameter is it?
  24. Another one, congratulations on making double figures.... :D
  25. If the VR wheel is anything to go by they are just shy of 400 notes from VW and even if you were generous enough to pay that they have none left...
