  1. Looks crackin Karl, nice job.. We going to be seeing this at the weekend?
  2. Heres my two penneth worth.. It is nice, but in the same way that a VXR Astra is nice compared to a standard model. It hasnt deviated enough away from the Golf for me to think it is a coupe, although the rear windows do look a bit V8 Vantage to me.. I agree with Andy, VW havent really stuck there neck out with it and id say the obvious comparison is to the Audi TT which is a proper coupe and ticks the boxes to have the title.. We on here are always going to be hard to please, the fact that we spend money on cars which a lot of people would deem at the end of there serviceable life has got to say something. I know im not alone when i say im concentrating on motor vehicles of yesteryear and not about whats coming.. Im going to reserve full judegment until i see one hovering down the motorway or parked up on the street though.
  3. Youll not be disappointed, i had mine fitted there and they are brilliant..
  4. Get a 19mm one from B&Q, not halfords as it doesnt fit ight enough and just bin the wiper, cleans the rear up a treat. No need for rain x or anything like that.. I have this done to mine but dont think i have an actual picture of it..
  5. Ah if it rains it rains, good wash on arrival. It wont be raining in the hall... Just makes the cleaning process a bit longer. Im not expecting a repeat of Harewood of doing show and shine after being stuck in the mud, that was a challenge..
  6. Cheers fellas.. Im sure you dont really need to have a look under there Kip, ive seen under your motor and its stupidly clean..
  7. The boy has done well.. Talk about landing on your feet, jammy git.. :D
  8. Here it is then, no sunny back ground im afraid, these were taken in the dark in the garage but im sure youll get the idea... :)
  9. Its a lovely sunny day down in Pompey today so if i finish work early (i really hope i do), ill roll her out the garage and get some photies of the exhaust. I am a little bit pleased with it..
  10. It is looking a bit shiney Dave, i didnt have the camera handy though.. Had a good day sorting bits out All wheels off, insides cleaned, wheel arches cleand and detailed. Interior sorted, seats fed, plastics done, polished boot floor, inside of glass done. Engine bay cleaned, just need all the balck bits blackened and the shiney bits shined. Outside washed, polished and lime primed in preparation for some serios waxing over the next few days. Oil and filter change. Ill be cracking on with it most nights this week so shes looking her best..
  11. I do remember it well to a certain extent. I remember you being very underdressed and then it all went blurry... :)
  12. Getting nicely stuck in, i like the blue calipers but there nowt wrong with red.... :D See you next weekend...
  13. Tom will not be doing any pumping, of any description, at any degree of hardness in my vacinity... :D
  14. It was outside to make it easier to get amongst bleeding the brakes.. Yesterday really was one of those days where patience was tested, i know all Corrado owners have them.. Cheers for today Geoff, really appreciated..
  15. Full system from the cat back, really big improvement, in conjunction with all the bits ive done to the engine it is breathing so much better...
  16. Progress at last,... Had a shocking day yesterday, bled the brakes 3 times in all kinds of combinations with little joy. TT clutch pedal fell off before id even put my foot on it. Managed to break the air inlet trunking. Car got rained on. Today though some joy, got my Magnex fitted by Phatvalvers big brother who has done a cracking job, aligned perfectly, well happy. on the brakes front sounds like i need to leave it a few days as the air will settle. The brakes are actually really good, just need to reduce the travel on the pedal. The Mk4 rears are good, the handbrake is an unbelievable improvement.. Tomorrow the car will be getting the works. Pictures to follow...
  17. Magnex system fitted today - well happy... :D
  18. The guy who may be helping tomorrow will be going in with an airline bleeder, ive only been using the old school way..
  19. Im hoping to do that tomorrow, it stops fine, its just the travel of the pedal. Fingers crossed i get some joy tomorrow..
  20. Ive tried that and ive not had much progress..
  21. I may have a man to see in Waterlooville who may be able to help. If not though Tom i might call that in, ill let you kno how it goes, appreciated..
  22. I have indeed mate, the back one is a complete bar steward to get to with the AC relay bacnk sat on top of it..
  23. I have bled the system today 3 times, compensator open, bit of ignition on and off, keep getting bits of air at some stages but overall im no further forward. The brakes do work but the pedal travel is large so its gotta be air.. I have done Master Cylinder before and after, tbh im stuck.. Anyone else got any suggestions??
