    Full respray?

Martin (Vr6 souths) paint work is great and i can vouch for the place he used as they have done my grill and rear panel, along with ABs old Rado and his Mk3 which looks brilliant... Grahams paintwork is also spot on, not sure who did it but its a lovely job.. I know Mike G60 (auberg) on here is having his Edition one painted by Greg Howell at Southam bodies, this guys work is perfect, not cheap but from what ive seen 100% spot on. Mikes Golf will be back on the streets in about 4 or 5 weeks so that should give everyone an idea od the guys work.. Im just like everyone, id love to have my car redone, there are marks here and there which once ive noticed them just stand out. Its a long way down the list though, all in good time...
  2. The earlier Mk3 GTIs, VR Corrado and G60 Corrados did all come with 280mm brakes so they are the same..
  3. I know this doesnt help but both look great, the agony of choice...
  4. Have a look here mate... https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandon ... A998081=29
  5. Nice and easy job, best to have the car jacked up safely etc and go from underneath. The nut on the bottom of the filter housing is about a 33mm from memory, undo that and the paper element is inside. Change that for a genuine vag one (about a tenner) and your laughing..
  6. I think you can re drill them to 5 x 100. Im not 100% sure though. Drop Auber G (Mike) a pm and ask him, hes quite in the know about stuff like that..
  7. Steering wheel is available but sit down when you get a price- very expensive..
  8. Sounds like an interesting Rado, welcome...
  9. Sounds good mate, look forward to seeing it again at some stage this year....
  10. I did mate, reply is on its way....
  11. Good choice of Coilovers Shaun.. Looking forward to seeing this for the first time at UDs..
  12. Thats nice Bill, must be rather chuffed with that...
  13. You can use ones from Porsches etc but they still arent cheap for the reasons that John has said... They are lovely and you get what you pay for.. Im after a set myself but am expecting to pay a fortune for them..

Looks like a nice straight Storm, quality plate.. Welcome...
  15. Sounds familiar, had the same problem when i did mine. Ended up removing the line (drivers side so the lingest one) from the ABS block cutting the end off and reswaging a new union on, bit of a mission but the nut just wasnt playing at all..
  16. Agreed, they are too square to look right and the standard ones are spot on...
  17. Always been a fan of the Momo Arrows, amate of mine had a rado with them on a long time ago and they looked cracking...
  18. Weitecs are made by KW and are very good quality and a reasonable price...
  19. The above cars are fantastic but its just not my thing, the Corrado for me that will always shine out are Gareths (OSV), Bill Aitken and Jay Renshaw.. Gareths car was the first time id seen RS301 rims and ive never looked back since, Bills is a wonderful clean and very subtley modded VR and Jay Renshaw takes the OEM+ thing to the next level, the vision and skill that went into that hasnt been beaten IMHO...

You can G60 a 16v engione but it is a major job to make a decent effort out of it.. It has been done though and it did feature as standard in the Mk2 G60 Ltd Golf of which 70 odd were made....
  21. Very nice, bet you are enjoying that..
  22. Standard rear bushes from VW are 70 quid.. So what can we use from a TT??
  23. My brother in law had his triumph towed from Durham all the way down to Windsor and it was quite suprisingly inexpensive.. Ill have a word with him and see where he got the contact from..
