The cams that the standard 2.0 runs dont really encourage any decent power whereas the KR ones in yours are good.. Decent bottom ends can be had for up to a couple of hundred quid, you need a new headgasket and then its a case of putting it all together...

The cams in your 1.8 are fairly decent to be honest.. Depending on your budget you could use a 2.0 bottom end with the existing head and youd be looking at 170+ bhp..

If you are gonna remove the rear VW badge id say remove all the badges from the back. Its worth remembering though that once they are gone you cant put them back in exactly the correct position again in the future... It is a nice mod though, on the right car..

Very nice, horrible time of year for keeping cars clean, mind you in the summer we winge about all the flies on the front end.. Keep up the good work..

It does run a fair way across the front of the block. Id have a look but my car is at the other end of the country..

The 95 on Golf VRs had the 288 brakes as standard so id imagine that ties in with the upgrade. Play it safe and find a final year Mk3 VR which would be an R plate 97 i think (not 100% on that but cant be too hard to find out)..

The pump is to the left.. If it is coming from above there have you checked the crack pipe wjich runs across th front of the engine from the stat housing?? It is plastic so is a possible weak link?

It does have 2 pumps, a main one (low down on the left front edge of engine as you loonk in) and an auxillary on the right next to the coil pack.. Could be the main one, they arent too pricey, any chance of a pic of the area?

It is only a car. On the arguement that we will all only end up buying another id say better the devil you know, youve spent so much time and money on this one which will be irrelevant in a resale price..

Still remains the benchmark for what a OEM+ Corrado should be like and the car that i have tried to model mine on.. I remember the first time i saw it thinking those are the only rims ill put on mine (the RSs), little did i know they cost so much money...

I dont think the picture really gives you the right idea as they look like 17s on the car and they are only a 15.. From my imagination i dont think the curves in the wheel will suit the lines of the rado..

Your not alone with that Jim, my Golf does this with the damp mainly, dont think its anything to worry about though..
