    MY STORM

Congratulations. Nice looking Storm Any plans for her?
  4. I normally put the bonnet down although not slammed shut. I think the wires are narrow enough to run out the bay beneath the bonnet and above the grill because the rubber seal if flexible enough to allow them through. Just tried poking a pencil through there with no real resistance so I don't think the wires would be a problem.
  5. I bought something similiar but it was the B**tly manual on a disc - thats worked fine (over 1000 pages on a PDF file). I'd wait till you see one of those on e-bay unless someone else can recommend this one.
  6. Kev - I gave this area a damm good clean out last week and never spotted any rust but you've mentioned it twice since then so had to go out just now and double check! - relieved to say its rust free although , as you say, there does not appear to be much if any underseal in there.

  8. Like those Pete 8) Nice high positioning too with good visibility I should imagine - not like the ones in the cubby hole in the Corrado  Is that an electronic air flow direction screen above the dials in pic no:1? What' do they all look like at night? Is there a color scheme going on there? Meant to ask a few more questions about the car on Sunday but needed to get back home - will hopefully have a closer look on the 18th.
  9. Hi Leon, This is the one that was redcommended to me by KipVW and I've been using it since last September - does a spot on job as far as I can tell and apparently "conditions" the battery as it goes. I don't think there is a cigarette lighter option but it does have c 5metres of cable (2 from the box and 3 from the box to the terminal clips) http://www.airflow-uk.com/shop_accessories_battery-charger.html Vaughan
  10. Probably about £12...... per day, excluding petrol
  11. Amazing spec. How long did it all take you? Did you do all the work yourself? I guess you must have some good roads to test its full potential in Romania or is this a track car :?
  12. Indeed they do.... Halfords Light Blue Hammerite
  13. Option Z:purp caliper.jpg[/attachment:ikrk46o1] Suits you sir :camp: :camp:
  14. I gave the calipers and carriers a good clean today - little bit of surface rust in places that could probably do with a wire brushing to prepare for painting. Decided on a colour yet? Hey thanks for that Vaughan, you didnt have to. No I havent really, I dont want red cos every ones has that colour, but want a colour that will poke through the little gaps on my rims, but at the same time doesnt look silly against the colour of the car. any idears?? How about light blue Hammerite?light blue caliper.jpg[/attachment:3il8o1zr]
  15. Looks very tidy indeed :)

  17. Like this....cheeses.jpg[/attachment:f1h23ffy]
  18. Drew - you're mad! Ever tried that big hill where they role cheeses down?
  19. Ah I wondered what the zip tie was all about :) I had a good, up close, look at the exhaust yesterday when I was polishing it and you see what a quality piece of engineering it is so I'm well pleased with it. The bumper won't be anywhere near as quick but I did notice a bit of the colour underneath and I think it may have been from a classic green in a past life!
  20. Definition of finished Andy :confused4: Kip - I'm just glad these cars didn't have chrome trim or the buffin would be a full time job :) Guess your engine new engine bay will be taking more of your time now - if its not sparkling we will know who to blame  What ones did ya go for Jake? The brakes and calipers will need a good clean and with them off it would be a good opportunity to paint them too Gonna have a try at glass polishing tomorrow - using my old passenger side glass as a test bed first
  21. Hehe - dunno about that but got it fitted this afternoon and took it for a good blast around the lanes. Slightly deeper tone maybe, not boomy at all and really pleased with it. :D On the advice of CazzaVR took it to our local Longlife to be fitted - they did a really good job I think. Tightish fit over the rear axle but doesn't seem to be a problem - guess the KWs are stiff enough for it not to be an issue?P6291246.JPG[/attachment:3hmterjn] Hopefully the last one I ever have to fit :)
  22. Got any recent pics? Good to see you're a long time owner Have you got Davia air con? When I had mine re-gassed a couple of summers ago it was really effective with air coming out at around 6c 8)
  23. Picked up a Magnex exhaust today from Pete_Griff as well as a front bumper which is in way better nick than mine - so plan is to get that resprayed and swap out. Pete also let me have the plastic radiator cover trim that has been missing on mine since I had it (only took me 3 years to notice!) P6281244.JPG[/attachment:uqlx5lji]
  24. 350Z + a zero gravity flight (a la James May) - yours for £3250
