  1. If you look hard enough you will be bound to find one of these lurking somewhere;gremlins.jpg[/attachment:oq82hls9] No doubt there is someone on here who can help you exorcise the little blighter but would probably end up in someones elses pride and joy
  2. I think Crazy Dave has posted up something about a meet in Worcester soonish only a short blip up the M5
  3. Me and Cazza are just off Junction 14 of the M5 if your're passing we could have a mini meet! Tortworth court, Berkeley Castle? Could probably swing an hour or two from the wife and kids.
  4. Good work you two. His and hers shelves or sqautters rights  I had to fill every inch of wall space in mine to squeeze the car in. Room in the loft space for another C? the art of the possible...car-loft-3.jpg[/attachment:3ll6tjxx]
  5. Probably unwise of me to comment on your Bra Andy but what the hell - talking to Bill (Billcor) today at Stonor he did say you need to protect the area under the triangles by the edge as they can chafe the surface so wise to get something under there (Bill uses masking tape). My first and last post on the subject of Bra chafing :norty: Car looks stunning with or without underwear :)
  6. That sounds like it was me. Right location, time and number plate. Wrong colour. Its a mystic blue storm. Didn't spot any corrados at cribbs but did see a green vr6 m reg by cabots circus heading on to m32 yesterday at 5ish. Tried to pull along side but due to traffic couldn't. Thrid time i've been spotted now. Thanks for the comments vorn. Aha - one of my sons insisted it was a Storm but I said I didn't think it was  - number plate was a bloody big clue! I was in a Golf. Coming to the national day at RAF Cosford? Quite a few of us convoying up from this direction.
  7. Looking very good Kip. Front end looks very clean and un-chipped. Like the recycling thats going on with your fleet  Is that a non standard grill there or did the 8v come with a 3 slat?
  8. Dark (green VR?) glimpsed near the Mall at Cribbs this afternoon (around 16:30). looked very tidy and clean, N1 *RM?
  9. Just seen the new mota in the flesh - absolutely stunning  - factory fresh feel on the outside, immaculate paint, trim and alloys - not a mark on her guv :) Well done Andy, this one should definitely be kept  Not much needed to get her into concourse class I'd say 8)
  10. And wash again for best results - you need to spend more time on this before we can call you an obsessive  Anybody mentioned the 2 bucket technique to you yet?
  11. Welcome to the forum. I replaced the roof strips last year - as you say start from the front . Easy job but take your time and get it all nice an clean when the old ones are out. The new strips should fit so tight that the tape is really unnecessary - I was gonna heat the tape to get better adhesion/stickiness but in the end it wasn't needed. Expensive but do look good and should last another 15 years! Good luck with the other niggles.
  12. Looks terrific - I bet your heart must sink if you ever get caught out in the rain and all that good work underneath gets undone. Like the mats too - did you get them specially made?
  13. With some shows imminent and assorted cleaning products rapidly piling up I felt the urge to give the Storm a good clean today. 2 washes then clayed then the Meguirs 3 stage process with Autoglym SRP substituted at stage 2. Pretty pleased with the results. Not too much crap came of with the clay so either it was reasonably clean to start with or my technique needs honing.stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfcorradomay2009a.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]Corrado92.pdfcorradomay2009b.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfcorradomay2009c.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfcorradomay2009d.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfcorradomay2009e.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]corradomay2009f.jpg[/attachment:2xj28a1a]
  14. Sounds as if the bug has bit :D Gets some pics up
  15. Great stuff guys and very best of luck with this. The VRT will be the courtesy car right
  16. Might be interesting to test this scrappage system by removing as much as you can -presumably it just needs to be in an MOT passable state? but even then who would check if you had taken important stuff off just before delivering to the garage? Best of both worlds territory :norty:
  17. Are there loads of these number plates out there then- one for every letter of the alphabet? I want A57ORM  , ah no I already have one - phew!
  18. Cracking shots - well done fella!
  19. You must be gutted - fingers crossed this has a happy ending
  20. Where do you propose? Im from around this area and Im up for a meet! :D That's 2 of us then! In the past we've either met at the Hot Air Balloon pub near Birdlip or a pub (whose name escapes me) at Tormarton (next to Junction 18 M4). Hot air balloon is best if we are doing a Bristol/Worcester joint event but up for other venues if anybody has any ideas - a new thread is best
  21. Dark Blue Corrado in Charfield this morning (8:45am) on Manor Lane. Just a glimpse of the rear so not sure what variety - M9** W** A few Cs being reported around here - enough for a mini meet me thinks?
  22. Spot on! It will feel much better and what with the summer just about here you'll be able to get maximum value from the investment. Unlikely deathbed conversation, c 2060 AD " I wish I'd paid off my Barclaycard rather than enjoying my Corrado when petrol was still readily available"
  23. and thinking ..."she never went that far with me" :norty:
  24. Cheers Jon. Sobering stuff eh - might quote that to the missus if she happens to stumble across the bills for all this
  25. 288mm brakes fitted by my garage today (top job as usual) - only went for a short spin 2nite but wow what a difference they make  Well chuffed with this upgrade, confidence inspiring bite and orders of magnitude better than before. Also fitted new pads and discs for good measure. Guess I need to take it steady while everything beds in but so tempting to really try em out :norty: front brakes.jpg[/attachment:xiqroemk] Oh and she had a full service too with no issues after the winter semi - hibernation :)
