The orginal plastic frame was pretty easy to get off on mine bucket of hot water 10 mins later pull them apart Nice write up btw

Usually its the connections that go rusty with age use electrical contact cleaner on relay connections and a bit of sandpaper on the relay spades to get the rust off

The brake disc splash guards look like 16v ones not vr6 ones

Just thought id put this in here to help people out in future. Needed a rear exhaust mount recently the ones for the back box, so was told that they were obsolete from VW so thought nevermind they have probably gone to classic part by now. Looked there and they were in stock for 21 euros with expensive delivery. Both he supplied them with spade connectors like the one in the 1st pic and with oem connectors (for slightly more money) in the second pic

Nope it was done at d&g autotech. Maybe give them a ring to see how they wired them up must be pretty simple
