It can also be the relays behind glovebox that causes supply fault

HELP - radiator fan on all the time with ignition off - draining battery
Jon_vr6 replied to fendervg's topic in Engine Bay
It could be the wiring though and not the sensors -
My raddo can carry a lot more corner speeds now and that was coming from the girlfriend with a standard vr
-
You wont be disappointed
-
Yeah there will be a break in the wiring on the seat. Mine used to come on and after 10mins the relay would continuously click until i turned it off, other days it wouldnt work atall. Took the seat apart and had a loose wire connecting to the temp sensor on the seat, dab of solder later and it was fixed

Theres a drain plug on the crack pipe under the car but as you said it is a pain to see. A top tip to avoid air locks is to NOT fill from the expansion tank first but to get a funnel into the top radiator pipe and fill from there until you see fluid in the expansion tank. Then connect and clamp off the top rad pipe to the radiator elbow as you would and fill the rest from the expansion tank. As others have said leave the expansion tank cap off for a bit whilst the engines running just not too long, take for a spin let it cool afterwards and top up again if needed

I put mk4 calipers on but used ones dont know what possessed me as everything else was brand new. Let that be a lesson brand new ones
-
Mine still does it occasionally after short drives think it needs a new caliper as handbrake cables have been changed and so have discs n pads.
-
Yeah short journeys dont really give a good representation of mpg

Cool thanks for that wonder how trim tape has got on there then must have used that instead of buying a blue clip
-
Haha I did the same years ago as above just push them from the outside
-
Noticed one of the blue clips on my rear corrado badge has broken. So went to take the badge off but noticed tape behind the letter C and the O is tape used to hold the badge on aswell as the blue clips or just the blue clips? Cheers Jon
-
These always break mate its either get a brand new cable with the clip included or bodge it some how so it still works

My fan setup uses crazydaves fan mounting bracket which the fans attatch to but if the pwr one comes with holes for the original fan bracket and pwr are using a denso marston radiator as a templete then I cant see there being a problem. I just remember crazydave saying if we were to use his fan brackets then it would have to be an oem denso marston one
-
Is the advantage being that its a full metal radiator? What about radiator fans I have spal fans utilising the original brackets that are on the oem denso marston one will this come with the said brackets? Cheers

Mk4 cap on washer bottle? Where from?
