  1. My problem was where to put the aerial so be interesting to see where youve put yours Jim
  2. Yeah i saw that and thought paul had decided to break his car lol
  3. Ive got one like the £10 one, bought from a guy off the forum that used to sell them. Looks exactly the same from the pics so id go with the £10 one
  4. Yeah possibly been damaged or old age wear and tear, Vince at stealth knows the ins and out of repairing the sensor if you get stuck
  5. They are obsolete, but can be repaired by gently prying it open and re soldering the dry parts
  6. The one thing that put me off of the roose was the join on the top rad hose between expansion tank. I know it has its advantages but just looked a bit of an eyesore but im picky sometimes. For the price they are a bargain
  7. Think a bosch one can be picked up from euro car parts BUT you will still need a VDO sender from either VW or someone breaking a car
  8. The above is a 3 bar pump you need a 4 bar
  9. No the fuel pump shouldnt be loose like that as you probably know. As for replacement unluckily for you VW decided to drop the pump you currently have in yours (a pierburg) in favour of a VDO one. And VDO is the only one which is available from VW for the £202 BUT you have to buy a new float (blue thing on the side of the pump) as the one on yours will not fit the new pump. So youve got two choices buy new from VW - and buy a new float sender unit too for another 50-60 quid Or try and find a pierburg pump which are obsolete but may find one if your lucky
  10. Wow not good but at least you okay mate, your trusty steed did its job and kept you alive. Hope you heal well fella
  11. I bet, "im just renewing it because the paint is flaky" haha
  12. Took a few pics mate whether they help or not I dont know space to get a camera in is minimal lol
  13. Yeah but the advantage of slimline fans is you can get to things in that area dead easy temp sensors etc
  14. The starter motor will be exactly like the one VWVW posted a picture of then. Expensive from vw arnt they had the pleasure of ordering one recently at least its on an exchange basis. As for the cables if i get time tomorrow ill put one up as long as the wiring for the spal fans isnt in the way. Cant remember if OSV put d&g fans on this car (slimline spal fans)?
  15. Never understand this redlining crap, there was a honda civic when me and the girlfriend got back to my car parked at sainsburys on saturday night revving his car. Ballbags is all i can say and that blokes car in the video got what it deserved hope the insurance dont pay out
  16. This vid shows the servos that control the vents etc awesome bit of work
  17. One bulb for the whole unit as standard Brunty
  18. While your in there goldie clean up the contacts on the starter cable (battery to starter motor) with some sandpaper and check for any green corrosion on the cable at the ends, that was the cause of my starting issues recently
  19. Yeah its easy goldie disconnect the battery first though, people said to be support the engine but I didnt. But knowing that the engine could move slightly and make getting the bolts to line up harder id support the front mount just to be on the safe side. Think its 2/3 long bolts that need undoing they go straight through into gearbox, as said a bit fiddly but easy enough
  20. Might get some for after christmas dinner them sprouts really cause me problems :gag:
