  1. Yeah my dad tested mine off the car with 12v and nothing then it spluttered into life. So intermittent problem but wasnt going to risk the old one so a new one went in
  2. As above any of the team on here, got a problem with my membership. It ranout clicked the button to renew went through paypal and its still saying when i go to log in that i havnt payed Any help Jon
  3. Yeah you can supply your own parts when getting jobs done at stealth, i did when getting the bottom end rebuilt. Im sure Vince will recommend any extra work thermostat housing etc as they go along

  8. Yeah as far as i know you can buy a VDO sender to replace the blue pierberg sender dont know price though
  9. Your original old one is a pierberg the bosch one and the one from vw are for later cars and VDO ones. Basically some vr's came with pierberg ones (I presumed early ones but yours is a 94 weird) and some came with VDO ones. So your need a pierberg pump but vw only supply the vdo one only as that superseeded the pierberg pump. ---------- Post added at 3:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:22 PM ---------- Or i have heard of people just zip tieing the old pierberg blue sender to the new VDO one dont know how and wouldnt do it myself but its an option
  10. Ha yeah I had to plug mine up when I got the wrong pump...was expecting to wake up one morning with the car in flames
  11. No worries mate, its good to share knowledge as me having just changed the pump its fresh in my mind. And here for other people to find when they do a search. Hopefully you get yours sorted soon mate

  13. Just twist, to get a good grip I got a latex glove on as my tank was half full at the time so less chance of slipping off
  14. Yeah sits in tank and is down by a twist lock system twist left to undo and right to replace
  15. Well ive measured them and they are the right length 2 are the same length and 1 is a different one which matches the old straps So they just need bending into shape. As said above sorry for the false alarm
