  1. YAY! well done! They always get that advisory due to the bearings used. If it's not howling, it's fine.
  2. Hi, I know you have to edit the first post to do this, but when I try this on my Members Gallery I get 2 errors: 1 that there are too many words in my first post, and another that I have 15 photos too many! I can't really edit that post and put the info anywhere else, so I was wondering if a Mod had the ability to change the title for me? Something simple like Poll250s VR Turbo will do. Thanks! 3. You can clean it out with some brake cleaner or something, normally sorts it out for a good few months. Although a new one would be a good long term solution I guess!
  4. Just to keep a note for myself for the future, I remembered a few parts that were fitted at the time of the Turbo by Stealth: -Replaced Gearbox mount with a VT one, now have VT gearbox and rear engine mount, and a BFI front mount. -Reconditioned starter motor. -Lightened and Balanced Flywheel -New Clutch Slave cylinder -Helix clutch: Feels great and deals with the power very well. Not at all heavy! -Wallbro intank pump with Stealth bracket: No noisier than standard, tend to keep the tank over 1/4 full to stop fuel deprivation problems. -Brand new MAF to go in the 4" housing. -One of the last Genuine (£220!) VR Radiators from VW I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff too? I should get the new interior by the end of next week I hope. I'm really excited to see what it'll look like, but probably more excited by the prospect of sitting at the correct height!
  5. Yeah just emailed him. I did a bit of research and it looks like they don't make the red ones in 80mm. I think there are a few sets about but they don't come up very often :(
  6. Long shot I know, but does anyone have a set of Red/Gold 80mm BBS Centre caps (suitable for a set of RCs) I know they are pretty rare but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks
  7. Just came across this on ED38, VW Heritage are thinking of making door seals again and want to gauge demand: http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=399633&st=0&gopid=3845129entry3845129
  8. Looks great Wayne! A lot of hard works gone into this car. Did you ever get round to finished the TT dash?
  9. Payment sent for door pulls and handbrake gaitor. :)

    VR6 Fuel Pump

Hmm Stealth might still have the one that I bought from you (I think) a year ago, as I've got a Walbro one in now. Are you sure a standard one will be ok for the R32? I've got to email Vince in a minute anyway, so I'll ask if he still has it, as I forgot to pick it up. Will let you know as soon as possible.
  11. Ok Tim, PM your payment details and I'll sort it out Thanks again.
  12. I'll take the chrome door pulls and let you have my originals for £5 posted? How's that sound?
  13. You might want to read this bit from the previous page guys:
  14. Hi Tim, I'm sorted for Gearlever gaitor thanks. It's really the chromed handles that I was after, so I'll wait and see what the guy above says first. Let me know, Andy
  15. Hi Tim, I'll take the Chrome interior door pulls, and leather Handbrake gaitor. £25 posted for both? Thanks, Andy
  16. Dang. I don't really want one of those all leather combo ones as they look a bit 'off' in photos.

    288's

I used late Golf mk3 Highline hoses when I had my 312s. They were part 65803B from GSF when I bought them a few years ago. HTH
  18. My front tyre has a similar chunk taken out of it. I've got a two finger gap between the arches so I'm not that low either really. I think it's from where Stealth adjusted the camber to get it to stay on the rollers, I don't have much negative camber anymore. It even passed its MOT with it a couple of weeks ago, but I should really get it changed soon just to be safe.
  19. I'm just sprucing up a few of the remaining old bits, and went to order a new (black) Leather Handbrake handle (Part 357 711 320 1BX) Just got told by my trusty dealer that it's obsolete, although i remember someone on here got one recently. Is there anyone who could check this out for me? I also got quoted £16 for a red cigarette lighter (the surround is no longer available). They never seem to come up on eBay, so I might have to venture to the scrappy for a quick look.
  20. The seats are on mk2 runners, hence they sit a bit high in the Corrado (one of the main reasons I'm changing them) They should sit fine in the mk2. I think I'm going to get a touch up kit from Furniture clinic and freshen them up a bit before selling them. I won't be asking crazy money so Ill give you a shout Jon :) Have you ever been to one of the monthly VW meets at the Kassam stadium? I keep getting pestered to go.
  21. Great work, love the idea of Climatronic aircon, but the wiring scares me and theres no room in the bay for any Aircon gubbins! That leather looks like it's never been sat in before, so good work cleaning that up!
  22. I'm only in Hanborough so not really that far away mate! Not sure what I'll do with the red seats at the moment, Could do with a little work to get it mint again, but would fit nicely in a mk2... :)
  23. Replaced my rear pads with some Pagids the other day (£17 from ECP!) after one of the rear pads wore down to the metal. All the others had a decent amount of meat left, so will have to keep an eye on it. I've got a feeling that I'd tightened the handbrake a bit too much on that side, so it was always a little on. I may have freed the piston up a bit when winding it back in anyhow. Anyway, braking is now a little improved over my old pads, and the horrible scraping noise I'd had for ages has gone! hurrah! In other news, I'm just in the process of buying a Cream Leather interior (I don't like the word beige!) and couple of other things to get the cabin top notch! :)
