  1. I'd have to agree with Matt, most people are looking to get rid of a grey interior, so they are less sought after. There are 3 for sale on here at the moment! I also think that in general the price people are willing to pay for interiors has gone down lately to a more reasonable level. It seemed to be at a high last year where people were asking £700 odd for quite ropey leather. I'm currently on the look out for a good condition Black interior to replace my red one, and was watching the one Matt bought. I was also considering buying a grey one and dyeing it myself, as I did my my red Recaros, but to be honest knowing the time and money that takes to do properly, the grey interior would have to be very cheap to make it attractive. I'm sure there is someone out there looking for a nice grey set, you'll just have to hold out for them!
  2. My vote goes for the CHs too. Will work great with the Blackberry, take a look at Mort1414's members gallery for an idea of what they'll look like. I'm not sure I've seen a set of MOs on a Blackberry? + I can buy them off you when you get bored mwahaha
  3. I think the Corrado is quite unique in the range of colours that really suit it. I find myself drooling after blackberrys, Storm Greys, Reds, Silvers, Whites, Nuggets etc and then look out at my ABP and in all honesty I'd be hard pressed to choose between them!
  4. Yeah one of the frenchies did that yesterday to me. I thought he was doing a 3 until he dumped the throttle and brought it back. Absolutley insane levels of control. I'd rather watch Best whip rather than Best trick any day.
  5. I went for the day yesterday and must say it was an amazing day. There was just so much to see and do all day and it was excellently organised. It was awesome being so close to the cars on the rally stage, and then just a few metres away you'd have all the super/F1/classic cars blasting up to the finishing line of the hillclimb. FMX best whip contest was another highlight. Even the traffic getting in and out was good. (we did arrive at about 7.40am and leave at 7.00 pm). Next year I might do Fri/Sat as I'm knackered at work today :)
  6. Good purchase! They look stunning in red. Like the CHs too, are they 17s?
  7. Oh you bought the one on ebay with the recaros? £880 is a good price! Are you swapping your interior into it then selling it on or thinking about breaking it?
  8. I have a lot of respect for anyone that's brave enough to own more than 1 Corrado! The stress of one is enough for me!
  9. Results for both days are up: http://www.theresults.co.uk/gti_international_results.html Times seem a lot slower than last year?
  10. I paid about £220 inc VAT and discount a couple of months ago. At the time I thought it was a bit of a rip off, but since fitting it my coolant temps have been around 10-15 degrees lower than before, and at least I know it will hopefully last another 15 years! :) Edit: and thats with a honking great intercooler infront of it
  11. Ok, this problem is getting a bit ridiculous now! I wasted 30 minutes on Friday night when I stopped at a Tesco express near my mates house, car still wouldn’t start and we needed to leave so I took the Fuel pump relay out and left the car at Tesco for the night (so no one could steal it!). Returned at 1pm yesterday to a very hot cabin, stuck the relay back in and it still wouldn’t start. Just cranked, no fuel pump priming. It did this for about half an hour then it kicked into life and I drove off. I Stopped off for some lunch, leaving the windows and sunroof open, and about an hour later when I came back it wouldn’t start again! 30 mins of trying and the fuel pump primed, and off I went! That’s 1h30 minutes of my weekend! A lot of the time, if I leave the key in position 2, the fuel pump will prime after a few minutes. I’ve replaced ecu relay, fuel pump relay, fuel pump x2, crank sensor, leads, coilpack, ignition switch etc I read something about no4 Load Reduction relay possibly being at fault? Does anyone have experience of this? Harryc did that fix yours? Does anyone have the part number? Thanks
  12. Thanks for the replies as usual guys. The breather is plumbed back into the intake, something that I was a little worried about originally, as it did get quite oily in the intake/throttle body before the Turbo went on. I haven't checked since it's been fitted as I didn't want to ruin any good seals upon refitting! (I know there are no leaks now, but I have a habit of overtightening things when reassembling without a torque wrench!) I'll check the oil and intake track to see if I can see anything.
  13. Sailed through it's MOT today(with a few little hiccups) To celebrate I took it for a good blast on a private road I know and managed to clock it pretty easily. When decelerating i noticed a load of whiteish smoke coming out the back end for about a mile or so. Got a bit scared I'd done something bad, but then it jus went, and the car seems to be driving and revving fine.Oil got up to 106 so no worries there. Is it safe to assume it was just burning some carbon off from the piston crowns or valves?
  14. Can you check whether the pins in the back of the abs light are getting power when you turn the key? Could just be a duff light module.
  15. Really nice job on the refurb! Would love to see a how-to guide on DIY refurbs. Do you grind it down then use metal filler?
  16. This might sound like a bit of a Heath Robinson, but bear with me. Even though my car isn't that low (2 finger gap) I still get a lot of arch rubbing on the front on the crappy roads around me. Today I found that it's started ripping big chunks out of my tire on the drivers side. Now, both arches have a little bit of rush on lips, and will either need to be painted in the next few months, or replaced in any case so I'm not too worried about messing it up a bit, just don't want it to look terrible! I was thinking of: 1.Remove arch liners and bolts 2.Flat the paint down on the lip to try and minimise cracking on the face? 3.Heat with a hairdryer sporadically. 4."Tap" the lip with a hammer, which something on the outside of the arch stopping distortion. 5. Spray the nicely rolled lip 6.HAM IT UP! Any comments or help would be appreciated.
  17. Stealth Turbo kit! Basically £5K min though for that.
  18. Yeah Vince did mine and it's got the modified 20% file from his car. I was thinking of taking my to Santa Pod, I've heard it's super sticky so good for times, just worried about wrecking my clutch/box! I'd imagine you'd be able to get low 12's easily. Ever thought about getting a set of 15" drag wheels/tyres? ---------- Post added at 11:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 AM ---------- Me again. So I fitted a Vacuum/Boost gauge a couple of days ago (Thanks Kev!) and it's tapped into the brake assistance line that comes from the side of the Inlet manifold. I'm new to this, so can anyone tell me what a good base value for vacuum is on idle? I assume the higher negative, the more airtight the system is? I noticed a couple of weird green clips (as shown in this photo stolen from the wiki: http://wiki.the-corrado.net/image_cc_038.html).They don't seem to do up very tightly, so can I replace them with jubilee/mikalor type clamps instead?
  19. A drill with a wire wheel brought mine up well last year, just mask off the bearings. Good way to clean up the ABS rotors too.
  20. I've had mine set at 20% most of the time so far, still need to really experiment with all the settings I guess but it seems good. What sort of 1/4 mile time were you getting before the RLTC?
  21. CTRL + F5 for me :) With this, and the VR6OC down I've had to actually do work, while at work. Thanks for all the hard work Andi[/b], sounded like you had a nightmare!
  22. Apart from Exclusivity and Electric adjustment, what exactly do Cloth Recaros offer over a good condition set of Standard seats? I thought Recaros were meant to be less supportive?
  23. Really want one of those wheels, they look spot on in my opinion. Any details on it? Ebay or straight from VW? What did you do about the airbag/slip ring for the horn? How does it feel in use? I heard they are a little larger than standard wheels.
