1. I had a spin in Rob (Hersites) R32 Rado last year and it sounded incredible! Would love an R32 Rado :)
2. I'd be very interested in a satin finish surround Dave. Keep us posted.
3. Yikes I better get that tightened back down asap. Hmm in my rush to take photos I didn't even notice that, good spot Kev!
4. I think they seriously messed up with this, the great thing about F1 has been it's accessibility to all. I have Sky HD so will still be able to watch, but not many of my friends have it, and to me, post-race discussions are one of the best parts. I love the build up shows with Jake, David and Eddie. I hope they keep them.
5. About time I threw up some engine bay shots: And the customary rear-side shot!
6. Yeah a VRT isn't exactly economical on a 1000 mile round trip! I'll take a look into men with vans tomorrow!
7. As much as I'd like to drive to Aberdeen and back, it'd cost roughly £300 in petrol alone! Funny thing is I might be in Aberdeen for a day or two with work in the next couple of weeks, but would be flying in and out! I don't think an Interior would fit in my hand luggage LOL
8. Yeah I know mate! They do look pretty good and all. :(
9. Hi Tom, Sorry totally forgot to reply to this and then I was away. They do look to be in good condition :) I'm kinda thinking I might try and look for some Cream (recaro?) leathers if any come up within the next few days, mainly having read through Quicky1980s thread and seeing how good they look! My mind changes every day on whether thats a good idea at the moment, so I'll let you know in the next few days unless they've already gone?
10. I think Stealth get a guy in to do exhausts, the price is pretty reasonable I think too. Moved back to Hanborough from Oxford a few months ago to save for a deposit, do you remmeber how to get there? If you could drop it over after work that'd be great, it makes a horrible noise whenever I brake now so I need to get the pads changed asap beofre I ruin the disc! I think it was my fault for adjusting the handbrake badly!
11. In my opinion, due to your location, you are limiting your market quite a bit by refusing to even entertain the idea of shipping or packing the the interior.
12. Thanks for the comments guys, really happy with it mechanically now, just a few bits to tidy up body/interior wise and I should be happy for a while! Been away for a week and I'm really looking forward to a good drive of it later. Alex: Stealth did a custom 2.5" 2-box exhaust when it was in for the turbo. Quality seems very good, and it sounds good at idle with the 2 boxes (and no cat). How is yours coming along anyway? Are you going G60 turbo or have you dropped a VR in it? You should pop over sometime for a chat :) Oh, btw do you still have my rear caliper wind back tool? I need to change my rear pads in the next few days.
13. This car just got even more stunning! Nice one getting in there on the CHs! (I'm another one in the long list that asked Gareth about them!)

VR6T

Sad times, but needs must. I kinda hoped it would stay on the forum though! Have you still got the S4? I was looking at C5 S6 Avants last night as a nice winter car... mmmm
15. Hmmm, I'd stretch it across some OE leather, a set of BBS CHs, some KW V3s and some paint touching up/arch rolling! I don't think there's much else left to do! (I hope the car doesn't hear me say that!)
16. Any photos Tom? I looked on your build thread but couldn't see any.
17. Looking for a good condition, low mileage Black Leather interior, inc seats and doorcards from a late VR. Need to see some good photos, and not ruling out Recaros. Talk to me! Edit: Quite coming around to the idea of a Cream interior with my black plastics and ABP paint, anyone got a good set going (in my area)
18. Just a little bit jealous Matt! I'm still undecided whether to go all black OE, or buy a grey set and dye the whole lot red. Decisions, decisions!
19. How old is the fuel? Fuel loses RON pretty quickly if left in the tank I beleive. Fill it with some 99 RON and take it for a good blast on the way to the test station and it should help a bit. If you have a friendly MOT tester he may be willing to test it as an unclassified engine. If you've had an engine transplant and there is no engine code easily visible, say on the rocker cover, they CAN test it on the 3% figure instead of the 0.3% The natural Idle CO at 7.95% seems very high to me though.
20. Well time flys doesn't it! I've been meaning to update this thread for ages with the new Power/Torque graphs and finally got round to it today. Overall I'm really happy with the car, it caused both me and Stealth a heck of a lot of problems, seemingly spitting its dummy out of the pram on a daily basis whilst there (oil cooler, radiator, engine mount and gearbox mount to name a few). It's always been that kind of car thoug, so it was nice to know it wasn't just me that experienced it! We rushed to get it ready the first time and it'd made 320bhp, but was quite hesitant on part throttle and Vince wasn't 100% happy so it went back in for some changes. I'm quite pleased with myself for researching and coming up with a good MAF solution: Normally on older coilpack (AG ecu) VRs you have to keep the standard MAF and use a MAF clamp to limit the voltage sent to the ECU by the extra airflow. On later cars you can remove the MAF element and put it into a 4" housing, which makes things a lot happier. Basically we used a later CP ecu, brand new MAF and 4" housing, and some jiggery pockery to get round the immob. When coupled with some more time on the rollers it made an extra 20bhp amd 20lb/ft, and it drives so much better both on part and full throttle :) I went with a Custom 2.5" exhaust with 2 boxes, one where the cat should be so it looks like a sports cat I also had the Racelogic Traction Control put in while it was there, which really helps when if you want to make fast progress in the wet. It's also very good at limiting slip between 2nd and 3rd. The winter months should hold a proper test for it though, but it's nice to know it's there just incase. I've had it back about 6 weeks now and it's been faultless. It drinks petrol when you give it some welly: I got 21.5mpg measured across 2 tanks after getting it back! but if driven normally it's not really much worse than standard petrolwise. Then again, if I was at all worried by petrol consumption I wouldn't have done this! But then again, it is nice to know that it's more fuel efficient than a comparitively powered Supercharged VR! Performance wise it's outstanding, by far the fastest thing I've ever been in and I'll never get tired of my friends faces after a drive in it. It's certainly made my normal roads a lot more interesting! I've grown to love the Turbo noise, although I do still miss that VR growl when off boost! A massive thanks to Vince and everyone at Stealth. I'm suprised they didn't get sick of my car during the time they had it, but they truly have done an amazing job, and at pretty fair price too! LEGENDS! I've got some engine bay shots somewhere I'll hopefully dig out tonight!
21. Did you manage to get some better pictures? Closeups of the bolsters etc
22. Mmmm WANT! They look nice and tight and finish looks quite matte.
23. How on earth did you get those bits of the bay clean?! I tried for hours when I had the engine out and it just had a thick layer of inground dirt that just wouldnt clean off properly! Looks absolutely stunning! :)
24. I was thinking about bidding, but I'm going to get my gf to get me an interior for my 30th next month (romantic I know) and I just didn't move fast enough! I don't want to hijack the thread too much with my waffle, but: The reds do look really, really good, but there are a few annoying problems: 1. I’ve got black cloth doorcards and could really do with leather to match 2. The subframes are mk2 so sit really high (I’m 6’3 so pretty much scrape the roof!) 3. I get dirty (!) a lot on my bike, and the red shows the dirt a lot 4. and finally I prefer the look of the stitching on the later Corrado seats and they have much better support low down. Still undecided whether to wait for a good black set, or buy a cheap grey seat and dye them black or red...
