I saw my first Storm grey VR last week, and must say they look stunning in the flesh! Looks like all that research and waiting has paid off :)
-
I think I remember reading something about them. I'll have a search and see what I can find, although I imagine they'd still need welding?
-
Anyone know a welder PLEASE :)
-
Anyone got one going cheap cheap? I don't mind if it's a bit dirty as I'm going to paint it. Clips intact would be a bonus though!
-
Cleaned inside my rear arches for the first time ever! I never knew they were meant to be ABP too! Also waxed it for the first time in a couple of years :)

I've got a set of Mk3 Golf Recaros in my car at the moment, set up to run on a Mk2 so they sit very high compared to regular Corrado seats, my heads about an inch from the roof! I've put up with it for over a year but I want to do a few track days soon and realised there's no way I'll fit in with a helmet on. I guess it's just a case of cutting the subframe off as high as possible, welding in some flat Corbeau bases that I have, and then weld the 3 Corrado legs on in the correct place? Would anyone on here be able to to give me a hand sorting this out? :)

I had a good look at your new brakes at Stealth on Friday. Look absolutely stunning! :) Did you not time the car when it you did that feature at Santa Pod? It must be capable of high 11s / low 12s I'd imagine with a good surface.
-
Did I see this out the back of Stealth on Friday? I thought I recognised the wheels from somewhere!

Does anyone happen to know what ID Vacuum hose is needed to fit a boost gauge to a VRT? Edit: Would these be ok for secruing said Vacuum hoses: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/6mm-1-4-Vacuum-Spring-Clip-Action-Hose-Clamps-x-10-pcs-/310322429445?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4840a87e05

Did you ever get anywhere with that undertray idea? I remember reading about it ages ago :)
-
If you're thinking of going Turbo, I beard the R32 sump can be a pain to weld for the turbo oil line. not impossible though!
-
How is yours running now Harry? Mine is seemingly getting worse!
-
I'm not normally lol, having just spunked ~£6500 on my car I'm a little broke. Saying that, you sorted me out pretty well :) Bung us a £5 to cover postage and ill get it sent :)

Hey Karl, Say £25 posted?
-
I'll do a proper update in the next few days. Picking it up again later today after having Racelogic Traction Control and a few other things done. see sig for a hint at results tho ;) I've missed having it around so much!
-
I have one too, I sent a PM earlier!
-
That does look really mint! White with all red rears is a good look in my book. Any plans for it?
-
Why get the Hottuning one for £220, when for ~£100 you can get it machined properly in the UK, from a genuine VW part?!
-
Have a standard flywheel going spare if anyone want's to send theirs to get lightened, without having to take the car apart first. Can't recommend HotGolf enough, turnaround was about 4 days! See: http://the-corrado.net/classifieds.php?do=viewitem&itemid=385

Looks stunning! Any more photos of the interior? What paint code are the panels? Late Wings available?
-
My 2p: I'd keep the brakes and wheels on for now, and get those paintwork issues sorted. Surely if the cars not being used much anyway you can afford to leave it with a paintshop for a couple of weeks; to do in their spare time,it should bring the cost down a bit. A 24v with sorted paint, wheels and brakes (+the rest you've done) is going to be a lot more attractive to potential buyers, as well as making you happier to own it, and maybe even encourage you to drive it more. Also, have you thought about getting a car-cover for it? Would help protect the paint, and keep it nice and shiny between drives.

Good work on the arches Mat, some serious elbow grease getting them cleaned up. Think I may have to give mine a go this weekend, can't be letting the side down now can I! Are they Hicon-GT coilovers? They look the same as mine, except mine are a horrible fluro-green! -
I've already got a BFI front, and VT rear/box so I'm ok for the moment, thanks for the offer though :) When do you think the car will be back on the road?

This build is amazing. Is it full Haldex or Synchro/Haldex mashup?
