  1. One Lonely photo of the Brembos on! Feel a lot more powerful but think I need to rebleed them as I'm sure there's still some air in the system. They look very stealthy at the moment, but think I might spray them red in the future :cuckoo: In other news, selling my refurbed 312 setup in the for-sale section if anyone's looking. Andy
  2. Photo looks ok to me, but the part number I used for my mk4 R32 bushes was 8N0407181B Andy edit: beaten to it twice in 1 min! People are eager to help today lol!
  3. I dyed my seats using the furniture clinic kit a couple of months ago and have used the car daily ( Take a look at my build thread: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=87868&p=1032257) The only thing I've noticed so far is there's a bit of wear on the drivers upper bolster where the vinyl meets the leather. The wear is on the vinyl bit and because of the large bolsters of the colour concept Recaros it's very hard to get in without rubbing it a touch everytime. I've still got some left over so will sort it if it gets any worse. Overall, Furniture clinic are really great to deal with, they'll even 'rent' you a compressor for free, which I would definitely recommend. Andy

    VR6 Front Brakes

    Or by my 312 setup :D viewtopic.php?f=13&t=89598&p=1035686#p1035686
  5. It's only really one wheel that needs a refurb at the moment, the rest are in good shape. so I only bought enough to try it ot on one wheel. The cars a daily so if it works out I might try and pick up a spare 17 so I can do each wheel properly one at a time or something.
  6. Right, went to halfords earlier and got some different sandpapers, filler primer, silver alloy spray and lacquer. I just need to do the front face and very outer lip, so might mask the rest if the the rest of the wheel off as they aren't really damaged. If it works out ok I might just redo all four in anthracite :D
  7. Cheers for the suggestions guys, will take a look into it :D
  8. How would I go about fixing this myself? Is it sandpaper or wet and dry you use?
  9. I think the problem with looking at buying a Corrado now is that they've gotten to an age where so many areas where parts are starting to wear out / require replacing: You can easily spend a fortune replacing all the bushes/suspension etc and have a car that drives nicely, but still have areas like paintwork, engine, braking etc left to replace. A car that's had all this done has got tobe worth at least 4-5k of anyones money. If you have slightly less to spend you have to consider which parts you think are most important. You also have to think, even when an owner has replaced a shedload of parts, when it comes to selling a car you end up listing all the little details that will not have bothered you that much, but could affect a potential buyer. For example I think my car is pretty sorted really, I've sure replaced a hell of a lot, but there are a few small scratches here and there and a small dent in a door etc if I was to sell it now I could fix these for a few hundred but you have to draw the line somewhere and just point out potential problems/fixes. Just my 2p
  10. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, ordered a Metalnerd wheel assist tool last night, only about 8 quid inc delivery and looks like it'll last a lifetime :) Andy
  11. Just the ticket! M14 is the one I need, yes? Thanks, Andy
  12. Ok, so basically does anyone make a long wheel bolt, say 15cm long that I can use to centre my wheels. At the moment it takes a while to get the wheel, spacer, disc and hub all lined up ( my disc locating screw head snapped off!) So I'd really like a couple of M14x1.5 shafts without a bolt head on. A square end to fit a 13mm socket on would be great too! Any recommendations? Andy
  13. get both  Would this work? An LSD AND Traction Control?
  14. Hmm a Traction Control vs LSD discussion thread would be excellent! Prices seem very similar too.
  15. So, after having my Brembos sitting about for 2 months, I decided to get on with fitting them today. Everything was going well, fitted calipers ok, then the blasted hardline decided to shear itself on he passenger side. The annoying thing is, this happened 2 years ago when I did the 312 conversion so this hardline was only 2 years old! The 15 years old drivers side one was fine! Still, not too much hassle, I'll get one made up tomorrow. The really annoying thing was trying to put my wheels back on with the H+R spacers. Fading light and no disc retaining screw made for some angry words, and a Corrado left on axle stands with no wheels over night! Could do with some really long bolts to put in the hub to aid lining everything up properly, how does everyone else do it? Pics tomorrow hopefully!
  16. Can't waitto see this back on the road, it's an inspiration for sure.
  17. :) Fancy that! Let me know if you manage to dig it out; I'm sure we could come to some arrangement! 8.5:1 it is then! Thanks guys! Andy
  18. Quick question: Is a 9:1 Head spacer ok or will I need a 8.5:1 with the Rotrex? Seen a C2 9:1 spacer cheap but need to check it will be ok! Thanks, Andy
  19. Sounds good Shaun, let me know as I'll most likely take them off your hands. :)
  20. Has anyone actually done this? Seems like the perfect place for some 6x9s.
  21. Yeah 4" MAF would have been good, maybe I'll used the resistor for a bit while I look into swapping mine out. CrazyDave told me they are working on getting newer 4-pin MAFs to work with older 6 pin wiring, which would allow it to be put into a 4" housing. Another thing to add to the future plans list lol. Have you got any photos of your current MAF/air filter set up Joni? I've been thinking about removing the fog lights (never use them anyway) for a cold air feed and trying to put the air filter behind there somewhere. I'm not too sure if there'd be problems with water getting in though? Although, thinking about it, you'd have to hit a pretty big puddle to get a lot of water through the foglight hole lol Andy
  22. Hi Shaun, Just noticed that you'd removed the cold air feed you had in your foglights. I just wondered if you had any photos of the actual duct you removed as I'm thinking of getting/making one to feed my Rotrex. Thanks, Andy
  23. Hmm more food for thought thanks Kev! My problem is that I have a bike in the car with the seats folded down for 7 months of the year, so need all the room I can get out back! I think maybe Water/Meth injection is the best route for me to take at the moment, and look at chargecoolers down the line. I dont think it's too much trouble checking the fluid level every few days/week through summer.
  24. Thanks for the advice Joni. I think maybe I'll change plan a bit having learn't a bit more, ditching a few non essential items like cams and 6 branch for a bit. As well as ditching the idea of 10k resistor/Storm fuel reg and Wideband and just use that money for a proper remap at Stealth or D&G. Seems a much safer option for pretty similar outlay really. So my shopping list would then be: c30-84 with 80mm pulley and mountings 360cc Bosch Injectors (got a brand new standard fuel pump that should last a while at least) Spacer Gasket and ARP head bolts Some kind of cooling -Been leaning towards DevilsOwn water/Meth Injection with progressive controller, which can be had for 250 delivered from eBay. Not really sure what the crack is with Chargecooling - is it a lot more complicated and expensive? Does anyone have a recommendation? I don't really want the battery in the boot if possible! Andy
  25. I'd be really interested in seeing a Turbo vs Rotrex graph too if possible! :D
