  1. wanting to add to the fleet? the vultures are out already :)
  2. incredible. I like the bit about being motivated by a sex ban from his wife iff he didn't win. There was no way he was going to loose it totally. :D
  3. family activity. :) Nice. I might try that one.
  4. definitely doing the right thing. It may have cost you alot more if it had gone wrong again.
  5. It is a valver head and they came with it in those positions so many thanks. :)
  6. hello. Can someone point out which sensor is the colant sensor out of the 4 sensors aound the coolant flange. I know the one bottom right is a coolant switch i.e off or on. So which of the other three is a proper coolant sender? Thanks in advance.
  7. front is the easiest, imho I think the gearbox is the hardest of the three. But it is not really that differcult. You'll figure it out.
  8. its not that thin tbh. be careful, don't go nuts but you'll need to smack it couple of times in different areas.then jiggle it,then smack it. etc etc. Its been on there a while. :)
  9. when u undid the down pipe did u have the intake manifold on?
  10. good stuff. So it is truly alive. :) So you have started it running on the standard digifant g60 Map?
  11. It stayed on the floor..Lifted it up with my foot and it just dropped down.. For the pass week I have had to pump the pedal and it seems to get stuck about half-way down..After about 5 mins of pumping it did work!! Add this to my cold tick over problem it means starting off is a REAL BIG problem :confused4: "use the search luke" master/slave cylinder fault.
  12. Darren at g-werks knows the g60 very well. you won't need to give him that list. He'll be a good person to spk to about mods too.
  13. thermostat housing is underneath the water pump on your g60. thnks.
  14. it should make more than that on 12 psi although some will say that is low for a 68mm pulley on a car with no head work. General health check as you would any car. check static timing ok. ignition timing setup correctly. check fueling correctly. check the engine has adequate compression. as said above i'd take it to a specialist if these are things you are unable to check yourself. You need to make informed decisions using data from test equipment.
  15. [stabby remark] ah bless. He has good sense. Must get it from your other half. [/stabby remark]
  16. I take it you are going to send them those pics mate? Thats not even close. :?
  17. if it is not leaking boost and it is not blocked then there is nothing else to go wrong with them. :| So ask him,do you think it is blocked or do you think it has a hole in it? I think he's taking the michael personally.
  18. are you sure that they corrected the ignition timing properly? Its hard to diagnose probs like this from a distance. unless u have a friend who is good with cars i'd take it to a good garage to evaluate the issue. An intercooler is just a radiator that air just passes through. If it is broken in some way and leaking then all the air from the turbo will not make it into the engine. Is the intercooler in a place where you can eyeball it? I really would ask them why they think it is "broken"
  19. i'd ask the garage how they reached that conclusion. Is it leaking boost??????
  20. whip the head off, rekon it's charge contamination stopping proper combustion. HG probably gone between 1 and 2. After everything you have done it must be that. :|
  21. so much space in those engine bays. :) Almost criminal to pay someone else to do stuff on these.
  22. really heartning to see this near completion. Nice job. :)
