The thing is it looks soooo nice i think i'd like to put my new engine in it. But...I like the idea of a nice straight unmolested example. Not even a chip n pulley. If the engine is in good condition i'll leave it alone. if not...... :twisted:

thnks. That engine bay kinda looks like it has spat coolant everywhere at some point. Have to spend some quality time with it soon.

Light wasn't too good because of where it is park and it is a camera phone as my camera seems to have died. :roll: I'll try and get some better ones over the next few days.move it into a better position.Maybe try and start it too..

exterior and interior are probably better than my current tbh. It will be a nice place to spend time in. The engine looks questionable but to be honest thats the part i'm least concerned with.it may be just cosmetic,and it might start up with some new fuel and a battery.Dunno we shall see. From what the owner told me,a new charger was purchased from VW at about 70K. I think it has done 30 k since. He is the third owner.His dad was the second.. Sorry I forgot to take my camera yesterday.It's at my work at the mo so i'll take the camera to work with me tomorrow. Anyway to say i'm pleased is an understatement. Big thanks to previous owner James for his generosity and for honouring our agreement. He wouldn't even take beer money from me. :notworthy: :salute:

Most towns a at least one back street VW specialist garage.Just because the first one you took it too didn't have a clue you should shop around.I think you should get it proffesionally checked over. Forum help can only go so far and if it is Det it can make a real mess of your engine so you don't want to play around with it.
