  1. I would have thought that would have raised the idle further ? Let us know how you get on. I have been advised that the pb engine isv works better with MS so I have requested one from an acquaintance. My engine is stumbling and going lean when I rev the engine. Acceleration enrichment?
  2. that could of been really natsy. :| Funny though.
  3. I don't know... Distracted by that yellow hussy.
  4. He hit your car,so he has to pay to repair the damage he has caused. Simple as that. His argument is pretty weak imo.
  5. My isv dosn't seem to like MS at all. It just seems to open the isv right up no matter what pwm frequency or dutycycle i try.this causes the engine to raw to life at about 3k rpm  So at the moment i'm just using a bit of throttle to get it to start. I'd much prefer to have the isv do that for me though :| Are you gonna get an egt probe and guage? Your engine could still knock when the weather gets warmer.. I know you probably don't want to dismantle anything and do anymore wiring(god i'm sick of soldering) but it may be worth considering for a FI engine.
  6. yeah, that should keep you entertained for a while. 8)
  7. so what engine are you running. how did you lower compression, stacked gaskets, dished forged pistons..?? How much boost are you running at the mo?
  8. Just remember that when I took my tb off i never re-connected the vac hose for the carbon canister set up. Doh. Just re-connected it has improved the idle greatly, and no throttle stumble now. Will hook up laptop and see if I can refine the idle some more.
  9. Is the spark strong enough to ignite the mixture though..?? Does the engine try to start,i.e does it cough and rumble at all. Any signs of combustion on the plugs,i.e are they sooty or are they just wet?
  10. Nice turn around. hats off.
  11. blue temp sensor, check if ok. vacum hose to ecu.Make sure it is in tact and is exactly 100 cm. Do you have fuel? Is fuel pump priming? Check fuel pump relay. Check ecu relay . These things can cause bad/non-runner syndrome. :ubergeek:
  12. Nope. And I have tried three of them. Probably a case of getting the dwell just right?!?!!
  13. it seems i'm the only one on the planet that didn't know. cheers. :)
  14. sell the beamer and invest the money in the rado. Don't make us come up there.. :2gunfire: i'll ..i'll trample your flowers in your front garden. :camp:
  15. ok.. I was labouring under the impression that g60 greens were low impedance items and so had megasquirt configured as such. I have re-configured it and the car starts and idles indefinitly now. Thanks for all your input so far wayne and mondy. I have a few kinks to iron out. :No vdo tach signal.(what was your fix wayne) :Smooth out cold and warm starting :Engine stumble when you blip the throttle etc :Tune isv settings as it causes very high idle with it plugged in.(hope its not stuck open) However its a huge step forward. And its sunny today too. 8)
  16. cheers, just found section in the bentley manual.each injector should be 15 to 20 ohms, making them high z'ds.
  17. Can anyone confirm that these are high impedance injectors pls. Thnks.
  18. Unlucky mate, but as you do like to exercise your horses its probably best you have good tyres. Although you probably wanted to go to the pod on slicks eh..?! :)
  19. nice touch. I have been looking for some of those for yonks.
