  1. feeling the love.. :afro: my baby.I love her so..
  2. i'm interested to see how the public receive it..
  3. Thnks for pics. Looks purposeful and tidy. 8)
  4. i could have one of those but I don't wanna so there..
  5. I think the wheels will take it to another level. It dosen't have to be garish. I'm sure you'll find something that will not ruin the character of the car. 8)
  6. did you experience any clearance issues with it? I think flusted said he had probs?!?
  7. Sounds good matey, but is it very fair spraying grip on the rollers? I mean, hardly realistic is it? Unless the rollers are quite worn which I could understand, but surely the point of an RR is to get a realistic figure of what power / torque your car can put down? Its still measuring the power of the engine. And the fact that he is is making tangible gains from his setup is the most important thing. Ok cheating a bit for extra traction but the engine is still turning the rollers and making power.imo anyway :)
  8. no your right. apparently they are 320cc@3bar
  9. do you know what the fpr was on the cozzie? Sorry for all the questions, just brain storming. :)
  10. maybe they are rated at 325cc/min. but with a larger vale fpr ??? Where did you get them from. What fpr are u using mate?
  11. out of curiosity, what manifold pressure do you get at idle? ta
  12. I understand. Cool. Take a break and let us know what you decide.
  13. If you have a stim power up the MS box independently of the car and check that it is functioning correctly. You can't give up now. I won't let you. :D
  14. Ok maybe a tad off with £1600 but not by alot as fitting the supercharger is simple, it just bolts on to the side of your engine and runs off the pullies, if you go rotrex you dont need to tap into the sump etc as they have their own oil supply and Storm sell a ready to go custom fuel pressure regulator that you can fit and use with a charger up to about 8 psi (knocking on 280bhp) that requires no ecu mapping. So not entirely impossible but i suppose you would need some knowledge of how a spanner works, although i started without a clue and now im pretty useful with a spanner and its all down to help from the forum! .. and what about bottom end work? Did you not have to lower your compression to charge your steed?
  15. i wish i could help more but I am a couple of weeks behind you. I would try and use the logs to home in on the point where it stumbles and see what the engine inputs are the telling you,i.e what is your lambda sensor telling you? Does it matter if the engine is cold or hot? Are you happy with your VE table? You should really tune VE b4 attempting Ae apparently. Hopefully Crazydave will chime in and help you. Good luck. You'll be an expert by the end of this, then you can help me get mine running. :)
  16. acceleration enrichment should only come into play with rapid throttle openings. if you just gradually open the throttle does the engine rpm increase in a linear fashion?
  17. if you get a moment i'm sure everyone would like to see an engine bay shot. :) Inspiration for us wannabe engine builders.

    G60 ECU

under what conditions mate? Throttle wise I mean. Hows it running? Give as much info as you can and I am sure someone will be able to offer you some help. ta. :thumbleft:
  19. Oh good! :) I think a lot of people are seething with jealously reading this. yeah, yeah;including you. fecker.
  20. Revved to 6000rpm tonight before refusing to go higher...is my KR a slow learner? Also, does anyone know how to reset the ECU, or would this be pointless?[/quote:29oagj4c] ignition timing ok???
  21. :salute: I'm impressed. What management are you running this thing on mate?
  22. From what I have read on the matter Valve lift is another tool at the disposal of engine designers to aid air flow,i.e get air into and out of the cylinders so the engine can make power. High valve lift aids aspiration generally at high rpm. As you are making the affective port flow area larger. At low rpm you will get smaller gas speeds and so the engine will ingest less air for the time that the valve is open and make less power. These affects mirror that of cam duration. Thats why I say increasing/decreasing duration for lift will kinda cancel each other out. Does anyone know where a kr engine makes peak torque as oppose to where a abf engine makes peak torque?
  23. abf for kr cam swap is pointless. Your exchanging duration for lift for negligible net difference. Ah, but jezza is using a 2ltr bottom end which has 159mm rods and a longer stroke, obviously, so duration would help with exhausting the gasses. I'm not so sure with a 1.8 kr bottom end as you may end up with so much overlap due to the extra duration you just end up pushing fresh fuel and air mixture straight out the exhaust port. sorry wasn't clear. the ABF unit apparently has more lift and less duration.
