you need to make up a puller to pull it in, one is shown in the haynes manual for a 16v golf,,, but thats an o2a box,, must be similar though!!

I had this exact problem, changed the thermostat and no luck, in the end it was the black temeperature sender for the gauge was faulty :mad: ,,, try changing thet theyre only about £6,,, :D

:evil: :mad: to AE,, doubt theyve even been in a G60,,, how discriminating of them,,, think ill give my g60 an extra coat of wax this evening,,,,, :wink: had my first drive of a vr6 yesterday as we got one for my mate,, lovley smooth drive, they are very different from a g60, just a matter of taste i recon,, g60 is much more of a raw beastie!! cant get enough of that supecarger sound, tis awesome,, the vr has a lovley note too though,, :D

what model of corrado do you have? will help allot in diagnosing the problem,, sounds like maybe an earthing problem,,,

my throttle body on the g60 is really oily under where the linkages for the butterflys are, im thinking if oil has come out of there i must have a slight boost leak there,,, can you get new seals where the spindles come up through the body? cheers, Olly :D

i use a huge heavy duty cabel tie, pull it up nice and tight around the tensioner and there you go,,,

was thinking of a PB 1.8 golf gti cam, been reccomended by a very well respected person in the vw trade so im gonna give it a try,,, :D

interesting views, I was thinking of using a cam from a different vw 8v engine,,, may just try it and see what its like at the weekend, ill let you all know how i get on,, :D

am i right that a cam with 226/220 duration equates to 226+220=446, -180 =266 duration camshaft?

does anyone have the figures for a std G60 camshaft? as in duration and lift? was wonedring how they compared to this cam,,, Duration:226/220, Lift:10.15 with a lobe centre angle of 108.5

he he yeah, just outside exteter but work in town up pynes hill, been up castle combe this weekend with my mk1 golf track car,,use the corrado for commuting and weekend fun!!!

timing chains on vr`s are just as an expensive problem as a charger :?

trackday car? ya need a mk1 or 2 golf!! properly sorted they are the muts nuts!! not exactly helpfull i know, but a vr is a bit expensive for a trackday car,,,

i got a 1m length from the stealer no worries,, didnt have a part no just nade sure it was the same dia construction etc

Airbox snorkel on a G60 - how exactly do you remove it?

it is quite loud with it removed, didnt notice any lack in bottom end when i removed mine, might put it in again just to see, mine just pulled straight out , was very tight though!! :D -
