  1. cool,, ill take that pesky slave out tonight and hopefully i will be back up to speed again,, drivin about in me dads 5 cyl audi coupe today, which isnt too bad!!
  2. Thnaks henny,,, flexi pipe looks ok, what was interesting though is that it seems to move a bit as you apply the clutch pedal,,, think i may upgrade and get HEL, our local braided hose fabricator to mahe me up a stainless braided one, when im feeling a bit bored, will whip down to gsf at lunch and get a new slave,,, try that this eve,,, do you have to disconnect the gear shift cables to get the cyl out or will it wriggle out,, also the gearbox mounting looks a bit close to it,,,
  3. driving along yesterday and the clutch started to feel weird like it was biting lower and lower until it would not release,, after getting the car safely off of the dual carraigeway i pulled into a layby and had an investigation,, undid the bleed nipple on the clutch slave cylender and got some air out, clutch worked untiul i got home but was getting worse and worse, Im thinking the slave cyl is prob on its last legs and allowing air into the system, any of you folks had similar experiences? oh the clutch pedal would always return to the top of its travel even when it wasnt disengaging also,,,
  4. think maybe if i had a chip and pulley aswell this would have complimented the cam more as the extra low down boost would of helped the car to pull through the low revs then really let rip at the top end,,, got the std cam back in now and i`m running a little more ignition advance and seems to be going well,,, what other mods are you running on your car SANDY?
  5. its a supersprint with a 4 branch manifold, exhaust did not fall off as they have two small o ring like bands bonded inside them, but thats all that was holding it on,, rally design were selling polyurethane exhaust mounts for a while made by another manufacturer, they soon withdrew them from there listings due to the same reason,,,
  6. i melted all my powerflex exhaust mounts on one trackday!!! on my mk1 golf,, beware if you have a stainless pipe,,, the amount of heat they transfer through the system just turns the mounts into a yellow sticky mess!!
  7. as the disks are a bit thicker i suppose,, hmmmm
  8. hmm they gave me these pads,,, 64520A (pagid) but for G60 there website says they should be 64325A (pagid) wonder what the differences are? will find out when i try fit them tonight!!! I`m all confused now!! :?
  9. just been GSF and thought they gave me the wrong pads for my corrado G60,,, I never new they were the same as 16V golf ones, i was fo some reason sure they were bigger,, :? so if someone wanted to do a g60 brake conversion on a golf 16V would they only need to get hold of the brake calliper carriers? and not the carriers and the callipers? if the pads are the same then maybe the callipers are?
  10. anything to help with the economy of a g60 has to be a good mod!! :D
  11. Timo., does it go any better then with this removed?
  12. on a g 60 the power steering comes off of its own belt and is not powered off of the serpentine,, check belt tension, as this is adjustable,,
  13. G-Lader, ouch so thets your piston in general chat,, at least its in the best place to be sorted, 8) good luck with yours henny
  14. yeap after price for g60 kit too,, :D
  15. hey are those cossie ones charge cooled aswell? just i could see an approx 15MM pipe coming out the top of that cooler, if so could be really efficeit,, as for fitting get yer bumper off and have a butchers,,, may be a good mod, see loasa these coolers on ebay
  16. ive tried it and seems more revvy i.e. better between 5&6k, but i think ive lost a bit of torque, so will prob keep it in there for another day or so and then revert back to my good old G60 cam!! was worth a try i suppose,,,, :)
  17. didnt see any patrol cars nearby, they were there a couple monts ago then but didnt witness them myself, one of me mates saw them, hopefully they are for uninsured taxed drivers etc, we pay our way and so should others!
  18. ah yeah, wouldnt of thought they would be for speed as they were not aligned straight with the cars and it was near a junction so people would normally be slowing down, they were with an unmarked car and the layby was all coned off with orange cones,, interesting,,,
  19. on the way to work this morn, went passed a layby at about 80 and there were two cameras set up in it on tripods looking at the dual carridgeway on an angle towards the oncoming traffic, i have a snooper 715is and it didnt go off,,, recon they coulda been mini gatso`s? hope it will be ok as i was only doing 80ish,, but surprised the snooper did not go off,, any of you seen this kinda set up?
  20. sweet mate,, never have to worry about hoses ever again, fit and forget,,

  24. looks ace and your site is ace,,, gotta make the pilgrimge to your workshop soon,,, :D
  25. uncles just bought a skoda octavia VRS  , havent had a chance to go out in it yet but i know theyre pretty rapid,, looks like i will need an sns chip and a pulley and some red tops afterall, cant have him being faster than me,,, just hope that will be enough!! anyone on here had a vrs experience? :?:
