Corrado VR6 wanted for Piston Heads photoshoot

Nice one :thumbleft: Look forward to the article -
The 8mm leads do fit but not as snug a 7mm. You need to trim or file the plastics to get them to fit but they are ok.

Not at all hard by modern standards 2 hrs tops

Corrado VR6 wanted for Piston Heads photoshoot
Harrier replied to Pieman2's topic in General Car Chat
After sending an email showing interest I received a reply today saying they have found a car to feature. -
Should look lovely :)

I take it it's Lhasa green Are you keeping the original colour? I fell in love with a Lhasa when I was in my early 20,s Just couldn't quite afford it , wish I had saved a bit harder though, bought a 2.0 Capri instead :(

Does anyone know where you would need to go for this ? Would consider it if it wasn't too far -
Haven't had any experience with this product but I think laser tools are generally pretty good, though Halfords aren't the cheapest if you have vouchers I would say get it :)

I became self employed at 30, albeit in the same trade ( car mechanic) I found knowing plenty of people in the trade helped and with a little bit of luck finding decent, cheap premises to work from I haven't really looked back. If you are changing your line of work then I think that will be your biggest challenge As said life is short, if you are confident you can make a go of it then do it :)

I too really like red or Oxblood interiors Sean 8) I haven't ever seen a campaign Corrado but I think the interior would suit a black or dark grey colour better, be interesting to see what it goes for.

Have a good one folks :) Look looking forward to getting out in the rado soon

No water or coolant in the system I'm getting concerned now .
Harrier replied to robrado974's topic in Engine Bay
Hi Rob, personally I wouldn't worry about not having any coolant in there, I would however start the engine and run it for a minute , just to keep things moving and lubricated. -
Nice motor 8)

http://www.pistonheads.com/features/ph-features/1990s-coupes-market-watch/35431 Bit of Corrado love on Pistonheads :)

The only real disappointment for me was some of the language used and references made. Fine for adults but as my lads want to watch it I might have to cough or something in a few places. That's the difference the BBC make I guess

Has anyone else seen this ? Clarkson & co in there new program on Amazon Prime. I liked it a lot, though starting off with the Mclaren P1, Porsche 918 and La Ferrari with a bit of BMW M2 thrown in for good measure they couldn't go far wrong really ! We have signed up for the 1 month free trial for now, whether we keep it going or not will have to see :)

The intermediate shaft can be checked with a mirror once the top chain cover is off, if you can't see the notches you might have to turn the crank 1 or 2 revolutions and look again . I have heard of the cam pulleys not aligning perfectly before i.e half a tooth out or so. Possibly down to the head having been skimmed or wear, stretch in the chain.

Will get the picture of mine up tomorrow, that looks really gunky and corroded in there, you need to make sure the plug is clean and corrosion free.
