Oh no!!! sorry to read this Rog, really hope you can get it sorted -
I think you have hit a nail on the head there Portent. there are many who have fallen in love with the rado but then chose to make a change & eventually end up questioning themselves as to why they ever parted with their rado in the first place. there are very very few cars, & i say this even about many that i could never afford without a lottery win, that i would rather drive than my rado let alone part with my rado for them apart from the exotics i will likely never afford.......porsche 993 GT2, ferrari 288 GTO, pagani zonda, ferrari F40, porsche engined VW split screen camper van.......the only one i can think of at the moment that when i see one it always makes me think 'damn id love / need one of those' is a BMW E30 M3 on a D or E reg & left hooker but even those are rapidly getting to the 'out of reach' value

Oooo cookie cutters!! At one point i had thought about asking my dad to lend me the wheels off his 1978 911 SC - like these http://www.darrylsgarage.com/911/cookie1.jpg but the fitment would have been impossible i think.....well....that or convincing my dad to lend me them lol I know what you mean about the simplicity suiting a rado & i'd love to see what the F40 type wheel looked like - http://jpmenterprises.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54fcc6a028834014e607a0382970c-800wi

Ha ha my hesitation too Jim. You only tend to see them on Jap stuff but i too think they would look mint on a rado. i couldnt see a weight though

Ive not heard of the intake you mention but i have recently forked out for a BMC & my god the difference in engine sound is phenominal!!! the throaty burble at low revs, the way it turns into a full on gargantuan roar when you floor it & the way it goes all quiet'ish when just cruising on the motorway :D

Thanks Oilman has the Feb winner been chosen / announced yet?

well done chickie!!!! im sure we all dread a non closing sunroof :(

^^^^ great explanation!!! :)

IIRC standard mounts are better for gearbox mounts as VT mounts all round can make it far too harsh Vince advised me to go with a VT front engine mount but OEM gearbox mounts when he had my VR recently

^^^^ absolutely what he said!!! the UK government cant even run this country properly without running it into the ground (or should i say the potholes we all have to suffer) & yet they want to continually force how we live our 'free' lives in this so called 'democracy' -
Oooo i thought i had seen something along those lines. Can you recall your search string for the bay jim?

whilst we are on about refurb'ing head lights...... does anyone know if it is possible to fix/replace the plastic tabs which allow the head light adjustment?

Thanks for ^^^ Kev! Ive had some replacement lenses to fit to my VR as the previous owner gave me them when i collected the motor & this, along with the sunny weather, gives me inspiration to get them changed over :)
