  1. Ha ha that sentence echoes thoughts of many of us on here :( lol
  2. Oh bugger!! Ive just had stealth fit new roose motorsport pipes when they did my head rebuild.....& i used the jubilee clip set they sell for the pipes.......now im wondering whether i should have asked vince to use the OE clamps :s pants :(
  3. Indeed we were Rog. Fortunately there are lots of helpful people on here :) I would highly recommend one of the bentley workshop manuals, they are great for everything except the engine (as that is for the US spec AAA lump)& are a brilliant guide when trying to get things apart good luck
  4. Have you tried bump starting it? if it starts then likely to be your starter motor but if not it will be a case of figuring out if it is a fuel or spark issue....or hopefully not something more serious IIRC there has been a recent thread on here about testing if its fuel or spark issue
  5. No probs Jim :) probably worth mailing ARP themselves & pose the question
  6. link to the post i mention in case you want to read http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/255594-fyi-reusing-arp-head-studs.html
  7. I found the below post on dsmtuners.com for you jim.....hopefully it will help FYI: Reusing ARP Head Studs Many of you may already know this but for those who are unsure I contacted ARP yesterday regarding how you can determine whether or not it is safe to reuse the head studs. I had a phone conversation with on of the tech support guys who told me that unlike the rod bolts (which you can measure to see if the amount of stretch is within allowable limits) the recommended criteria for the head studs is a subjective one. If the stud feels tight when you reach the recommended torque specification then it is o.k. If it feels soft or spongy at this torque value then it should be replaced. They subsequently sent me an email as well reiterating the same thing: "As long as you have not exceeded the recommended torque for that fastener, and it takes the torque and does not feel spongy, the stud should be fine." I just want to emphasize how important it is to adhere to ARP's recommended install instructions and torque specifications. Hopefully this will be helpful to some of you guys.
  8. No m8, it went ahead but there were very few numbers & people didnt call vince early enough with their payment details. Fortunately Vince was kind enough to still let the couple of us who had them take advantage of the RR setup & fitting costs
  9. She has replied to say 'yes please, thank you very much' :D i will drop you a PM regarding details thanks again nick, they should be great for a set of winter wheels for her storm
  10. Thanks Nick, much appreciated!! i will confirm either way as soon as the gf replies :)
  11. Hi nick my gf may want these. ive just sent her a message & will confirm via this thread as soon as she has replied can i say a yes but TBC please? :)
  12. :'( damn it i want my white valver back!!!!
  13. IIRC one part is the mount & the other is the bearing & you will need both
  14. hi sam ive purchased & fitted 2 looms from KUR2Y & have never had any issue's length of loom is more than sufficient to secure it nicely in the slam panel behind the grill you dont even need a screwdriver to remove the airbox unlike the headlight & no need to worry if you have moved the beam pattern by taking the light out
  15. No probs, happy to help m8 the difference the loom makes is nothing short of awesome & i installed some ring xenon ultima bulbs whilst i was there tip: it is much much easier to fit the drivers bulb if you take the air box out (if you have a standard air box) ;)
  16. hello m8 KUR2Y provides superb looms with triple relays on here - they are highly recommended ;)
  17. hi mic_VR i brought one of these sony dsx-s100's a few months ago when it was on offer at halfords & it is very tidy i brought the gf one yesterday as well as they are on offer at £50!!!!! :D http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DSX-S100-Media-Station-Docking/dp/B0039BWIYI for a nifty you can not go wrong, 4*52watts & xplod feature
  18. yes m8, KUR2Y is his user name. Ive had one of his looms on my VR for about 18 months & the difference is astonishing. I recently fitted one to my gf's storm as well ;) very highly recommended & great service with excellent quality & results
  19. good point raised david i had wondered the same as arent winter tyres narrower by design so as to improve grip on ice/snow/sub 7 degree's temps?
  20. Hmmmm lots of good points BUT just read the chufties thread on here ;) I dont know of many cars which cause complete random strangers to approach us & ask if we want to sell but our rado's definitely do!!! lol
  21. IIRC up until the final 3rd revision face lift all versions of the rado ran on 195/50/15's from factory 1 of the slight change made to the 3rd revision was for the VR6 to switch to running on 205/50/15's good point that 205's can be more expensive but i found event-tyres.co.uk had great prices & could supply a bridgestone in 205/50/15 for about £90.....& that is fitted at your door price :D
  22. I understand & agree with your point on the cams Chris. However, Vince has been a diamond & is still offering the £90 saving on the remap & another £60 on fitting (if they are to be fitted by stealth) Giving a total of £175 discount ;)
