Price drop to £2950 -
they may well rocket in an auction - last set of late ones i saw were over £250 i have some in my VR but had to cut the window switch opening myself as there were for early model i love mine as i put some 6" JL audio in them (or 6.5" i cant remember) - however they do mean you need to open the door fully to get in else you can catch them with your foot easily problem with the factory speaker housing is that you cant put a speaker with a large magnet in them else they push the door membrane back & cause you leaks

i had my VR done at Alcester Car Care & the result was fantastic unfortunately it took a much longer time than quoted, mainly due to the 1st covid lock down but also as it seems many body places always take a lot longer than they say - however it is quality of work that counts 🙂

ive got a 1.8 16v full car for sale at the moment 😉

good info keyo thanks & yes i make sure i declare all mods to my insurer, always have - in fact this year i had to ring flux back after i received the paperwork as there were only a few mods listed, when i spoke to their customer services the guy checked & said "ahh yes sir, unfortunately we cant fit all of your mods on the paperwork but they are all listed" PMSL

VW Corrado 1.8 16v G reg 1990 183,800 miles – will rise slightly as regularly used MOT until November 2021 Originally brought & owned March 2000 to June 2007, mileage was approximately 90,000 Brought for 2nd time April 2014 on 172,777 miles Specification: 1.8 16v Kamei X1 side skirts, door inserts, rear skirt – this body kit is extremely rare & approximate value of £1000 to £1500!! (I have been driving Corrado’s for 20 years and only ever seen a handful including this one & the one on my VR6) BBS RX2 wheels – 2 piece split rims which were stripped, refurb’d & rebuilt in 2015. Powerflow stainless steel exhaust – which I had fitted during the 1st ownership period. New OE steering wheel in 2015 Uprated headlight loom & Ring Xenon ultimate bulbs. No cracks in headlight glass, fog glass or indicators. Active rear spoiler works both at speed & on button. Sunroof tilts but struggles to slide. Original paint. Lupo wipers Original history was complete when I originally purchased the car but had been lost when I brought it for the second time – as such I have history from 2014 onwards. History details from 2014: 2015 – 173,408 miles – Aux drive belt, CV boots, wishbone assembly, indicator switch, fuel pump relay, new steering rack & gaitors, N/S & O/S tie rods, balls joints, hand brake cable, rear brake hoses, both front calipers, discs & pads all round, new battery. 2016 – 176,306 miles – spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, oil change, flush & renew coolant, distributor, ignition leads. 2017 – 181,138 – NSF track rod end boot, new heater matrix, heater box relined so hot & cold air function properly, oil pressure switch (low). 2020 – 183,146 - spark plugs, oil cooler, oil filter, oil change, front discs & pads, heater blower motor Bad points – dent on O/S front wing, paint is 30 years old & original so scrubs up well but needs attention. / EDIT drivers window works but is dodgy. Drivers wing mirror works but passenger does not work. More pictures available on request Location - Redditch, west mids £3250 or offers PRICE DROP to £2250 with fresh MOT

i got it direct from pilkington's as my friend has a m8 who works there but try giving them a call direct yes they had stock of various options, clear, blue stripe or green stripe IIRC also options for encapsulate or non-encapsulated but i would recommend the encapsulated as it came with all the trims attached & i think the clips etc only thing it didnt come with was the fitting blocks, which are still available from VW

Hi all just had an update from kurzy - he is approx 30% through the loom making process but has been called back to work for an unspecified time as such it may be 3,4 or 5 weeks until he is back but he will keep me updated & i will put any news on here for everyone to see he did also apologise as he wasnt expecting to be back at work for a while
-
cool m8, was just a thought encapsulated is definitely the way to go with screens 🙂
-
cressa - i have a set of the windscreen side trims spare which are brand new from heritage if you need them i brought the encapsulated version of a new windscreen & as such it had all the trim bits already on it

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
how on earth did you manage to get it up that high!? my VR got the proper wobbles on the trolley jack when i even tried to get it onto mini axle stands lol -
i did manage to fit one of the ebay ariel base seals over the top of the base by warming it up in hot water & wrestling it on BUT it was a dodgy way to do it & i bloody slipped & scratched my roof
-
thanks cressa
-

additional connectors order with delivery direct to kurzy again 🙂 £34 chaps - £4.85 each between the 7 of us paypal again to [email protected] please kindly
-
tidy chaps id say we have consensus, i will get the order in tomorrow 🙂
-
update guys after discussions with kurzy for aesthetics & to enable both side light functions to work would could do with a male connector at each end of the loom IE the 2 females will plug into the headlights themselves & then we will have 2 male connectors which plug back into both sides of the factory loom - as such there will be no need to tape up one side of the factory loom & all connections will be OE looking what are peoples thoughts on me ordering 1 more male connector each? also, he has now ordered all the wire & relays etc & sounds like we are looking at approx £60 for each loom
-
hi could you please PM me with a price for a pair of late fog lenses? thanks
