  1. awesome link thanks stuart though I changed the valver matrix last summer I could do with taking it out again to refurb the air box
  2. of course you may. I got them via thursdave on here, he works at a VW. below is a copy of the info he sent me on them "Speedline Centre caps - are these for your VR6? If so, bizzarely, VW are showing 4 in stock. 535601149A Z31 RRP: £8.22 each, cost to you £7.10 each" I had been very kindly donated the ones with broken tabs but IIRC im sure there was one that could be rescued & used. I am more than happy to pass it on to you if you need it should VW no longer have any. FYI I ordered them in sept last year
  3. try VW m8 I managed to get 4 brand new ones from them a couple of months ago & they were cheaper than used ones on ebay EDIT - if you struggle I have a couple with broken tabs which may be able to be rescued so could send you one

    Wow!

I guess at those kind of prices I should really get the zender over spoiler on ebay - apparently $240 new http://www.superstreetonline.com/how-to/project-car/0408ec-volkswagen-corrado-slc-supercharger-stage-2/ so lets say £850 according to his prices oh & whilst I am at it I may as well try the impossibly rare Kamei skirt bodykit I have in full - reckon that has to be £1500 or more if I split it EDIT - actually, aft a quick look it could seem that the Kamei kit isn't too far off that judging by the only 1 I can find on US ebay but for a BMW E30 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bmw-e30-Kamei-body-kit-/111879366423?hash=item1a0c87a717:g:8tYAAOSwZG9WlLb9&vxp=mtr

    Wow!

my god I need to move into breaking if he is selling junk at those prices £170 for a rado heater control - WTF!!
  9. blimey, blast from the past nice to see you coxy
  10. lol its ok Dox - caught a couple of us out
  11. yay im not the only one then! thanks easypops & VAGhag lol
  12. blimey! glad I checked the post before jumping n the 'I will have them pls' only 1 wheel lol
  13. you're right it does share the same fuse as the rear spoiler - however, I couldn't see the rear spoiler listed on the google image results when I looked
  14. that sounds about right sean I think Vince said he fitted it due to being a more powerful SM
  15. bearing in mind you can tow start it & then drive it for 25 miles with no issue, your battery health indicator showing green as ok, & the above i would say it is likely the starter motor is jamming. as i previously mentioned mine did as you describe above & once i had bump started it i drove to stealth ok, which is a good 35 miles. giving the SM a knock only worked a couple of times & then it just clunked & did nothing for a reason i cant recall Vince from stealth put a golf V5 SM on my VR
  16. ha ha ha what an offer! wish I was closer to Swindon lol
  17. interesting Jim any linkys for us to see pls?
  18. sorry m8 cant answer that as I don't know, an hour or so I would imagine. IIRC he said the trickiest part was getting the old broken part out on the 1st one he did but then no mention of any issue with the 2nd
  19. I wasn't brave enough to attempt them myself so my mechanic did them. I think you do need to remove door card to take handle off but they are not too tricky - if you remember the hidden screw behind the speaker cover lol
  20. cant go wrong with them m8 ive got them on both sides currently on my VR & will be ordering some for the valver just in case lol
  21. is the starter motor making any noise at all when the one went on my VR it was a case of turn key, lights came on, fuel relay could be heard but no attempt from the SM to turn over
  22. what you say above is normal Jim & how they should be :)
  23. normally the green indicator is a good sign. do you know if your alternator is charging properly? can you hear the starter motor trying or literally nothing at all when turning key? if nothing, you could try giving the starter motor a knock with a hammer just in case it is stuck. I had one go on my VR but that did not loose clocks etc when it jammed, simply nothing on key turn except dash lights etc as per dox & jon also check the live & earth to the starter motor & probably worth checking all the earths you can find as funny things can happen when 1 isn't grounding properly
  24. hmmm 2 of them is not all it is cut out to be ;) lol especially when something breaks on 1 & then something else on the other
  25. new badge-less late grills are readily available & pretty cheap example here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-16V-VR6-Debadged-Badgeless-Black-Front-Sport-Grill-w-o-Emblem-1988-95-/141757920863?hash=item21016e365f:g:lWsAAOSwDNdV3v~w I may have a late badge grill but cant remember if I threw it out or not. it was on the valver when I brought it back but I changed it for a proper early one I can check on the weekend & let you know Monday. I know it wasn't cracked but did have missing tabs
