He says in the advert that he would sell it. I think in this current climate of cars selling for peanuts and folk scrounging the earth for parts he may have a better chance of getting some money back braking it. Some one e-mail him and tell him to get his flabby ass onto the forum and get that loom changed.

an original one is only a certain seal profile cut to the appropriate length. I paid £45 at the stealer's about 2 months ago so £25 sounds good. But I've always been interested in looking at the profile and seeing if I can buy just a length of it from somewhere like here http://www.coruba.co.uk/searchresults.aspx?typeid=115&searchcrit=18_190 would be LOADS cheeper

self adhesive tape probably wont cut the mustard for holding two bottles of coke... and any kind of glue will wreck the console too. Think your Stuck with screws. Maybe try to fit it somewhere else?
